The intent of this blog is to promote human equality, human progress, human peace and justice, and optimism. To accomplish this, to encourage the discussion of ideas after identifying and discovering problems, and then creating positive solutions for "we the people," in order to provide for the "general welfare" and "domestic tranquility" of America now and its "posterity" into the future. To encourage an emphasis on separation of religion and state for all, no matter if this is for those "of faith" in a Maker / Creator (Deists, God-loving people, Christians, various people of spirituality) and atheists or agnostics.

The “Holy Week Massacre?”

What is happening now, one could call this the “Holy Week Massacre,” in remembrance of Nixon’s “Saturday Night Massacre.” According to Sky History and Wikipedia, “The ‘Saturday Night Massacre’ occurred on October 20, 1973, during the Watergate scandal when President Richard Nixon fired special prosecutor Archibald Cox after Attorney General Elliot Richardson and Deputy Attorney General William Ruckelshaus resigned rather than comply. This event marked a turning point in the Watergate scandal, leading to widespread public outrage and the eventual impeachment proceedings against Nixon.

Some may say history is repeating itself. I find that hard to believe. However, there are similarities. One big similarity is the Man-Baby Trumpty Dumpty pointing the finger at everyone else while three fingers point back at himself. Same with Nixon.

Stay tuned.
