The intent of this blog is to promote human equality, human progress, human peace and justice, and optimism. To accomplish this, to encourage the discussion of ideas after identifying and discovering problems, and then creating positive solutions for "we the people," in order to provide for the "general welfare" and "domestic tranquility" of America now and its "posterity" into the future. To encourage an emphasis on separation of religion and state for all, no matter if this is for those "of faith" in a Maker / Creator (Deists, God-loving people, Christians, various people of spirituality) and atheists or agnostics.

Crucifixes in European schools?  Once again, the Roman Catholic Church doing the same thing a communist dictator does:  utopia is only possible if everyone thinks the same thing.

A European court stupidly (without considering the rights of others) allowed the Roman Catholic Church to FORCE what IT considers RESPONSIBILITY upon citizens, running rough-shod over the RIGHTS of many people.  To many PROTESTANTS, symbols are never considered for their use because these things usurp worship away from our Creator.  The pope is ignorant about God the Creator and forces ignorance down people’s throats.

The article about this event mentioned those who would resent the presence of the crucifix:  Muslims and atheists. The article said little about Protestant Christians who reject symbols.  Once again, people are writing articles in the news and don’t present all the facts.

The Roman Catholic Church pushes a judgment upon all.  Jesus Christ said, “Judge not lest you be judged.”  The Roman Catholic Church judges.  It is blasphemous.

I would resent a crucifix being in my classroom – as a student.  As a teacher/professor, I would never place one in the classroom.

People need to seek wisdom, not certainty.  I am a Protestant Christian and very happy I have been trained in this way.  It would be judgmental on my part to say, screw the Roman Catholic Church, so I won’t.  Perhaps the next thing the Roman Catholic Church will do is to treat all Protestants in the same manner that Martin Luther and others were treated – taking away our professions and our money.  In that case, screw the church, which I say in self-defense.

“This is the day our Creator has made.”

“Seek wisdom.”

“The love of money is the root of all kinds of injuriuos things.”

“Give to Caesar [the government] his due.”  (Jesus Christ).

“God so loved the world that he gave his ownly begotten Son, that whomever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.  God sent His Son into the world, not to condemn the world, but to save the world.”

“Judge not lest ye be judeged.”

“Ye who is innocent throw the first stone [at the prostitute].” (Jesus Christ)

“Love God and love your neighbor as yourself.” (Jesus Christ describing the basis of all laws)

Jesus Christ angrily overturned the tables of the greedy money-worshiping money changers saying, “you have made the house of God a den of thieves.”  He acted with violent anger two times over-turning the money changers’ tables.  He never acted angrily at fornicators, adulterers, homosexuals, abortionists, prostitutes, or any others.  In fact, he asked the crowd about to stone a prostitute whether there was anyone in the crowd who was without sin so as to be able to cast the first stone.  No one came forward.

“Judge not lest ye be judged.”

“Thou shall not murder…”

The 10 commandments describes a “law” against murderers.  Rick Scott, Scott Walker, and many others will have the blood of murder on their hands as they remove opportunities for the Middle Class in America.  Their heavy-handed, stubborn agenda creates an environment of violence, thievery, and, yes, murder.  These guys – and those at Fox News (and others) are responsible.   The BLOOD is on the hands of ruthless dictators funded by greedy individuals such as the Koch brothers.  They are SOBs, buggers, bullocks, and all else which describes selfish, self-centered, greedy individuals.

“Judge not lest ye be judged.”  I guess these bullocks are NOT going to hell.  Beg your pardon.  Where are they going?

Soren Kierkegaard said:   “Life can only be understood backward, but it must be lived forward.

Scott Walker types in diapers understand NOTHING from the past and are attempting to carve a future feudal land/corporation/slave world.  It did not work in the past.  It cannot work in the future – and then expect peace and justice in the world.

9 March 2011

There are many solutions for Florida, but Rick Scott ignores them all.  A coward who seeks power and power only.  Scott has no concern for human beings, but worships money.  Coward.  Deceiver.  Liar.  Recall him!

Jeb Bush is a liar. Anyone who believes that pensions are a problem, whether in corporations or government – PROVE IT!  PROVE IT!  PROVE IT! Otherwise, you guys like Jeb Bush and Rick Scott are all a bunch of liars and cowards unwilling to face facts.

In Europe, corporations there DO NOT adhere to short-term investments which cause greed and provide CEOs with extravagant UNDESERVED bonuses. These corporations provide pensions. The government collects from salaries 5% each to pay for healthcare (in some nations). The money stays with HEALTHCARE, not the general budget used to blow up other nations.  Across the board, European corporations have HIGHER PROFIT MARGINS, together with pensions, single-payer healthcare, long-term corporate goals, and SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY. Better PROFITS!  BETTER PROFITS – than American corporations.

Jeb Bush is a liar.  The tea party lies to American people.  Rick Scott is a liar.  Prove that the ONLY solution is to remove pensions.  Prove that it’s pensions which cause state budgets to be in bad shape.  PROVE IT!  PROVE IT! PROVE IT!

Jeb Bush and Rick Scott are liars and cowards.  Prove there are no other solutions to reduce the budget deficits.  PROVE IT!  PROVE IT!  PROVE IT!  Prove there are NO OTHER SOLUTIONS worthy of discussion.  Cowards unwilling to look across a table at the other side and hammer out solutions.  COWARDS.  What about the solution to equalize taxation for Internet businesses with those in the local mall.  The budget deficit could be eliminate IMMEDIATELY.  Why don’t we do this?  Why do you liars talk about “free markets” but then have some businesses collect taxes for sales, but others NOT!  WHY?  This is not an equal free market.

Jeb Bush is  a traitor.  George Bush is one, too.  Each have more interest in imposing the models of dictatorships from other nations rather than developing what is truly American – with American labor working hand-in-hand.  While John Ellis Bush was governor of Florida, he spoke on Florida Public Radio (that’s why his buddies wish to scrap public radio – because it tells the truth).  John Ellis Bush remarked about how American higher education should follow the lead of China and India.  What?  American higher education is classified as the best in the world!  Unless the obstructionists like Bush and Bush destroy it!  Why should we follow the model of these nations?  What is wrong with AMERICA!  Traitors.  Unwilling to understand the strengths in this nation, just tear down everything – based on fascist ideals of corporate greed.  Forget that we have some positives in this nation.  The Bush brothers forget it.  George Bush thought Pinochet’s example of pensions in Chile was better.  What’s wrong with what we have where we deduct our money through FICA?  What’s wrong with it?  If the greedy SOBs leave the retirement fund alone, then many of us who have contributed into that – and into Medicare – could reap the benefits.  But perhaps the Bush brothers wish to give it all away to immigrants and fat pigs in corporations – then claim there is nothing left.  Stealing OUR money which many of us have contributed for YEARS!  BASTARDS!  LIARS!  COWARDS!

Now Jeb Bush thinks it best for state budgets to shed pensions by going broke!  That’s right, according to stupido Jebbie, states should declare bankruptcy!  Screw you, Mr. Bush.  There is no evidence that pensions are the problem – otherwise – PROVE IT!  PROVE IT!  PROVE IT!  You liar and coward.

In fact, once again, the man who lied to Floridians telling us that China and India have better models of higher education lies once again by promoting China’s retirement policies.  No pensions.  The children support parents in retirement – the COMMUNIST WAY.  Rather than American INDEPENDENCE in old age, Jebbie proposes that when we age, we lose our independence – like the Chinese COMMUNISTS DO.  Coward.  Looks down upon Chavez and Castro, but unable to stand up to the CHINESE COMMUNISTS.  Bullies the little guys, but cannot handle the big guys – COWARDS.  LIARS – both Jebbie and Rick Scott and others.  Screw the deceptive bastards – all of them.

And Daddy Bush – loves the dictatorial Saudi Arabians – dicatators.  DICTATORS worse than any we have seen before.  SCREW THE DICTATORS AND THE AMERICAN BENEDICT ARNOLDS who, with their money, prop up the foreign dictators – and hold Americans captive to right-wing fascist ideals about sex, alcohol, and all else.  That is not virtue, it’s lying and deception – things that Jesus Christ DISLIKED.  Jesus Christ disliked greed and selfishness, too.  But boy is there plenty to go around with the Bush family.  Oh, I forget, perhaps these traitors better understand Islam and wish to force that religion down our throats.  Why would these s***heads be concerned about the TRUE teachings of Jesus Christ?  They support atheists in Chinese communism and Muslims in Saudi Arabian oil.  No wonder.  Screw the American traitors who support Saudi and Chinese s*** – then proclaim this as patriotism – forcing their lousy brand of patriotism upon all of us.  I can tell the difference between a cup of horse s*** and a cup of vanilla ice cream.

6 March 2011

Read Frank Cerabino’s article in The Palm Beach Post (2.6.11): .  Discover how well U.S. contractors are protected by Republicans, but not our young men and women fighting for our freedoms!  About the same attitude Rick Scott and Jeb Bush – and yes, even Barack Obama have about the PEOPLE of this nation – from their ivory-draped, mint-julip, tea-sipping, ivy league towers.  Read on.

Jebbie appeared in Miami the other day with the lawyer from Harvard who sits in the White House. Together the two lawyers expounded on education – like a couple of experts who have been teaching many years and with many years of experience.

Lawyers telling us how we should do our jobs. How about if I were to tell lawyers how to do THEIR jobs? Hmmm!? Like … how about being ethical as a lawyer and revealing to a client that each minute of email read by the lawyer is charged off to the client (who makes a pittance of teacher’s salary) at $200 + per hour! The client suddenly realizes it when receiving bills in excess of $25K!  WOW! Surprise. Lawyers and bankers (who are still reaping the interest rates in paying off this heinous lawyer’s charge from 2003).

How about if I were to charge some unsuspecting student such a rate each time I work one-on-one with a student? And the student knows nothing about it!

Teachers want “accountability.”  Let me repeat this in case stupido supporters of the Obama/Jebbie duo begin to attack teachers. TEACHERS WANT ACCOUNTABILITY! Shall I increase the size of the font?  Oh, yeah, I can’t!  This is a blog editor and is lacking the Microsoft Word capabilities. (Oh!  Should I hold all blog/wiki/software creators and sellers (like Neil Bush accountable?  Why not?)

Again, I repeat:  TEACHERS WANT ACCOUNTABILITY.  We just don’t want the imposed FCAT accountability of Jeb Bush and (apparently now) Barack Obama. (Background for New Yorkers: FCAT is like the New York State Regents, but is being applied in an unreasonable manner from what I remember the Regents Exam being used in NY).

Does experience count for anything? The experience of someone other than the fat cats with silver spoons and money (Jebbie) and ivy league backgrounds? Does our experience not count at all?  Then go to hell.

At the time Jebbie was graduating U. of Texas at Austin, I was beginning my first year of college. It was a great school, but with all great academic institutions, not everything is perfect. My freshman General Psychology class sucked. There was nearly 200 of us in a lecture hall once a week listening to the professor garble off the parts of the brain, then we would spend the next week reading about some part of the brain and return to class in order to do a FCAT-type test. My grade school and high school with several wonderful teachers who should be mentioned (Mr. Nelson, Ms. Laubauch, Ms. Steinkamp) actually taught us to write college research papers – alongside the Regents Exams of New York. But when I got to my freshman Psych classes each Monday night, I was never asked to put those research and writing skills to work. Instead, I was subjected each week to the FCAT style “listen, read and regurgitate” type exam. In Florida, no one does the reading and research in public schools. Just FCAT.

The first few weeks of the course were terrible because I was flunking these “listen, read, regurgitate” FCAT type exams.  Me!  An “A” student!  Flunking Physiology about the Brain exams in a Psych class!

Maybe for students with photographic memories, such exams are great. Perhaps that is the narrow view from which Jebbie and Barack (and the ABA, FBA, and other groups) are working from? But for many of us, we learn in various ways. I learned how to take Psych. exams given by Dr. Rust! That’s what I learned from Psych 101 in college! After several weeks of his exams, I learned how to pass those exams, without cheating, too. In fact, I began “ACE” the tests! I was so proud and thought – “look at all this stuff I am learning about PSYCHOLOGY! So, Dr. Rust passes his accountability test and all are happy, right?

Wrong! How much of the brain am I able to remember today? Little to nothing.  I remember the NAMES of the parts of the brain, but I believe I learned those in high school biology in upstate NY. But there is very little from the “listen, read, regurgitate” method of Dr. Rust that I have retained since 1973.  BTW. I learned many of Freud’s and other psychology theories in Developmental Psychology, which was a much different class. We actually WROTE in Dev. Psych. And there were some of the “listen, read, regurgitate” exams, but not every week.

Yet, here is Obama, the “agent of change” standing on a stage in Miami endorsing what Jebbie says. No change. Same old s***. Wimpy damned Harvard-trained lawyer who is unable to stand on his own two feet. Fearful of being attacked by the gop party.

Barrack and Jebbie (as one of my teacher’s spouses calls the Bush Baby Boomer brat with a JD), my colleagues have some far better approaches to teaching General Psychology than what I received in 1973. The problem? Measurement. With FCAT-style exams, it’s easier for a lazy baby boomer coward’s fool to implement such tests. It’s more difficult to measure the learning outcomes from stuff made of – writing about, researching, and speaking about – the elements of Psychology.  It’s easier to create multiple choice, true-false, and even fill-in-the-blanks tests than it is to create rubrics and assessments which measure the “other stuff.” Yet, if we don’t EXCLUSIVELY use the FCAT-style (in NY, they are Regents exams) ONLY, then we are not doing our jobs as teachers and our “merit” should be measured on this!  That is what teachers find objectionable, not the process of being held accountable.  Barack and Jebbie don’t get it. I can understand Jebbie because he never HAS gotten it – even during 8 years as governor! But Barack? What is his excuse? If it is bad advisors, then perhaps he should fire them all and begin again!

To Jebbie and Barack in Miami:  your comments were nothing but HORSE S***! (If Lee Iacocca can use these words in his book about leadership – without the words being censored, then why can’t I?  – as I self-censor).

And here is more about those with the big fat JD who are (apparently) the only experts in our world today (alongside bankers who reap huge profits from foreclosures and don’t give a s*** about human beings – even when told the father of capitalism, Adam Smith, objected to the same type of banking and finance speculation of 18th-century Scottish bankers did – same things bankers over the past few years have been doing).

Conservative columnist (yes, I DID say CONSERVATIVE), George Will, identified the problem with education as NOT being whether teachers be held accountable.  Rather, Mr. Will, said parents, administrators, and lawyers  also be held accountable.  That the lawyers should remove their f***ing noses from the business of education and everything else where they drum up problems and ultimately higher costs for our society.  These are costs which eat into corporate profits MORE THAN PENSIONS AND GOVERNMENT TAXES (sorry, but Mr. Iacocca did not use this word I use, even in a self-censoring mode).

You dolts in both political parties. You dumb fools and cowardly leaders from the snotty bratty greedy selfish Ayn Rand Baby Boomer lot –  for not attempting to solve the problems, but continue to put band-aids on the symptoms of the problems in Florida and America.

You ignorant leaders suck.  Read Lee Iacocca’s book to find out.  For he says there is one group of people in America who should be held accountable:  the politicians, particularly those in Congress.  And who are most of the politicians today?  Do you really think they are teachers?  Think again.
