The intent of this blog is to promote human equality, human progress, human peace and justice, and optimism. To accomplish this, to encourage the discussion of ideas after identifying and discovering problems, and then creating positive solutions for "we the people," in order to provide for the "general welfare" and "domestic tranquility" of America now and its "posterity" into the future. To encourage an emphasis on separation of religion and state for all, no matter if this is for those "of faith" in a Maker / Creator (Deists, God-loving people, Christians, various people of spirituality) and atheists or agnostics.

The Beatles:

You say you want a revolution
Well, you know
We all want to change the world
You tell me that it’s evolution
Well, you know
We all want to change the world

But when you talk about destruction
Don’t you know that you can count me out

Don’t you know it’s gonna be
All right?
Don’t you know it’s gonna be (all right)
Don’t you know it’s gonna be (all right)

You say you’ll change the constitution
Well, you know
We’d all love to change your head
You tell me it’s the institution
Well, you know
You better free your mind instead

But if you go carrying pictures of Chairman Mao
You ain’t going to make it with anyone anyhow

Don’t you know it’s gonna be (all right)

Stevie Wonder: “love’s in need of love today…”

Somebody says to me, “Americans don’t like change.” Oh, yeah? Then why is it that followers of propaganda broadcasting Fox are getting on board for a Trumpican type of change called DESTRUCTION? That is change.

There are two forms of change. (1) Destroy and (2) reform. Destroy is done with a dictatorship and leaves many people out. Reform is done with democracy and works to attempt to embrace as many as possible, even though it is IMPERFECT as humans and human institutions are. If the person who said this said, “Americans don’t like reform,” I would believe it. But too many Americans are giving in to the FUCKING … yes I said FUCKING…. Nazi fascists in the form of people like FUCKING Trump or FUCKING Palladino or FUCKING ROMAN CATHOLIC RON DESANTIS. FUCKING people who don’t deserve a life because they only want to destroy what is good in America, due to the imperfections THEY DON’T LIKE. Excuse me for using the acronym FORNICATION UNDER CONSENT OF KING (OR QUEEN).

It is not with arrogance I say this. It is with love of country and what the Founding Fathers of this nation gave us. Deists, not Christians, in the Founding Fathers. This is NOT a Christian nation, but a secular nation with the freedom to worship and hold spiritual beliefs each one of us chooses. That is part of LIBERTY and FREEDOM, protected by many people in the past who put their lives on the line to protect this LIBERTY and FREEDOM … LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL. Trumpicans have no idea what LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL, with all its IMPERFECTIONS, truly means. The arrogant ones are those who follow Fox, Murdoch the asshole and all those others.

Yes, Americans don’t like change. But the change they embrace is destruction of what has made this nation great over many years.

Here are the things which are being done to put in place CHANGE for the sake of the wealthy and the FUCKING puritanical Protestants and American Roman Catholic bishops – dictators, plus for the sake of wealthy fat pigs and the corporate welfare they continue to enforce CHANGE upon America for the benefit of ONLY corporate welfare. This list demonstrates how the person who made this statement about “Americans don’t want change,” to be an imbecilic remark not worth considering. That’s the STUPIDITY in America today. Rather than work to do change which is in the form of REFORM and considering how to make life better for America, theses fucking assholes devote our tax dollars and money to shit so as to destroy, destroy, destroy, not reform, reform, reform.

1. Abortion and Roe v. Wade. It has its imperfections, but the FUCKING AMERICAN CATHOLIC ROMAN BISHOPS, with money from FUCKING LOUSY AMERICANS just want it destroyed and ignore the young folks rape and date rape, from public schools to college and above. Destroy, destroy, destroy, not reform, reform, reform.

2. Rick the Prick Scott, Reagan and the privatization of America’s public hospitals. Destroy, destroy, destroy, not reform, reform, reform.

3. Betsy DeVoss and the Bush family with others (Jeb Bush) to endorse wishes of the Roman Catholic bishops and the fucking pigs who are recipients of corporate welfare, work to privatize public education by DESTROYING public education and then claiming, “it does not work.” That is bullshit because public education, if funded correctly, has proven to work in America. Destroy, destroy, destroy, not reform, reform, reform.

3. The Bush Republicans and their destruction of the FS&L system put in place by FDR and the Democrats. Change for the sake of whom? Neil Bush or George W. Bush and his money in the Cayman Islands rather than invested in America – you know, the fucking idiot who said, “what’s good for business is good for America.” Translated from the corporate welfare pigs: “what’s good for corporate welfare is good for America.” Destroy, destroy, destroy, not reform, reform, reform.

4. The Reagan deregulation and destruction and eventual destruction of PUHCA legislation under Shrub gave us supply-side economics and destroyed the ideas of capitalism called supply AND DEMAND. All of these CHANGES were done and many Americans just embraced them, like lemmings being led off a cliff. Destroy, destroy, destroy, not reform, reform, reform.

5. The change to thumbing practices with noses in cell phones was done with the net result of destruction of local newspapers and a claim, “no one wants to read newspapers any more.” Fuck that because when you remove the local content and DICTATE and PUSH nationalized news upon the people, of COURSE THEY WON’T READ IT. It polarized America in the process while stupid idiots in the lower classes simply went along with the changes and, in fact with this peer pressure groupthink they FORCE us to accept these changes, working with the change mastering destroyers. Destroy, destroy, destroy, not reform, reform, reform.

6. Local broadcasting destroyed in order to make room for the fucking THUMBING and NOSES IN THE MOBILE and for the corporate welfare system to be strengthened. There are people who live on the hills of upstate New York in lower dense populations than those in the valleys who get better reception of local broadcasting than those in the valleys where the population is slightly more dense. And there are those who are ready to defend these changes made, as if it is all for the “sake of money.” Go to hell. If it were, then we would have radio and television which was powerful enough to reach the hills AND the valleys. Fuck the FCC for allowing this, in the name of honor for cell phones. Changes, for sure. Changes in the form of DESTRUCTION. And lousy Americans just sitting idly by and allowing such destruction. Destroy, destroy, destroy, not reform, reform, reform.

7. Don’t pay taxes and place a heavier burden on those who do who don’t want to act like rats and turn in those who do not. In many cases, I am on the same side of those who don’t pay it, but I believe in this nation to try to do my best to pay taxes, not be a criminal and NOT pay taxes. I understand why they don’t want to pay regressive income taxes or don’t want to pay taxes on services, especially if it is a small business which finds accountants and lawyers hired to help them pay taxes are eating into their profits, something which did not happen before “Rocky’s Tax” in NY and income taxes anywhere. Tariffs supported American business and its domestic products, while putting taxes on imported goods which were commonly snarfed up by wealthy fat pigs and robber barons in America. Tariffs are a FORM of VALUE-ADDED TAX. But no, we have fucking lousy regressive income taxes, fucking lousy sales taxes, corporate welfare fat pigs keeping Social Security insolvent by not paying as much into it as the common folk (and resisting the change but endorsing the destruction of ALL Social Security, plus moves under Shrub to change Medicare for the sake of big insurance and big pharma so as to sabotage and create and atmosphere that the common folk jump on the bandwagon like a bunch of lemmings being led over a cliff). Destroy, destroy, destroy, not reform, reform, reform.

Need I go on? I could add a number of other things in which there is change, but change only for the benefit of the corporate welfare state, not for WE THE PEOPLE, the first words of the U.S. Constitution. Or not to create liberty and justice for all. Or not to endorse the ideas about “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” for ALL Americans. They do a better job in socialist-capitalist Scandinavia than here in America. Survey after survey says the Danes are the “happiest people on earth.” They don’t have dictatorships, but democracies, alongside the capitalist PRIVATE businesses like Volvo which operate in a capitalist SUPPLY AND DEMAND system, not pretending that robber baron-induced supply-side economics is capitalism. In America, liars, liars, pants on fire. And lemmings in the common folk who are so stupid and idiotic they go along. Silly me for being so mean in saying this. After all, with decades of Trumpican type sabotage of PUBLIC EDUCATION, I should feel sorry for these people. Not if they insist on digging in their heals and perhaps saying I am arrogant. I don’t feel sorry for them with their lack of ability to LISTEN and LEARN. Without the listen and learn, perhaps I should feel sorry for them. But what good does feeling sorry for such people do for America, the land I love.

In line with what I say, let us consider what Warren Buffett and others have said.

Warren Buffett says what? The results of a search in Google can tell us some. But he has recommended easy changes and fixes which might work. But even Warren Buffett is NOT PERFECT. He is just one of many Americans with suggestions for America. One thing I do recall is that the U.S. Code (the words which conclude all the legislation in this nation) is convoluted and that Congress needs to take a vacation from legislating for a time and review that U.S. Code, tossing out all that is part of it which is really too convoluted. Unlike the Trumpicans who want to toss out parts of the U.S. Constitution after taking an oath to defend it (like FUCKING Clarence Thomas and Kavanaugh and Barrett with regard to religious freedom in this nation), the aim should be the U.S. Code. Did Buffett say this? Seems like I recall hearing about it at one time. Read all about it. The results of a search on Google. Read all about it. That’s the way it was… Read and weep.

Local Binghamton CBS affiliate, channel 12

Dear Sirs or Madams (of CBS Sixty Minutes):

We regularly watch Sixty Minutes and appreciate having this news AND information source available to us. We despise Fox News with its lies. the National Association of Broadcasters needs to put Fox out of business.

We have a bumper sticker which reads: “We get our NEWS from Comedy Central and our entertainment from Fox News.”  That about describes what we have to the nth degree in America today, due to the Republican destruction of the Fairness Doctrine which was put in place in the 1940s to guard against Nazi propaganda which had destroyed Germany.  In the 1940s, everyone was in agreement, so this was a bipartisan decision.

For some 20 years or more, I have written to publications and the media. I have used local newspapers and local television outlets, as well as networks. I write to Sixty Minutes, especially when I hear the recently repeated story about robots (Anderson Cooper?).  I write about many other news reports. With the demise of local news, by hedgefund lovers of money (also a recent story on Sixty Minutes), I have watched as my writings have not been published.  At first, I was puzzled. As time has gone by and with the wisdom of age, I have discovered the reasons.  Both your Sixty Minutes report and an article in The Economist and other publications have unraveled the mystery and puzzle to me.  When one relies only on intuition and observation of actual events at a Florida newspaper and elsewhere, it is good to find out that what I have been writing about what I KNOW has been correct, it is sad that no one pays attention to me anymore.  At one time, before the older great journalists retired – the people of good will running local newspaper – I was accepted. Now I feel as if I am on the outside looking in when most of what I have written has been correct.

Wat I am finding is that my distribution to a local Binghamton Fox affiliate has been read by such people at Fox. What do they do? Just as Trump does. Put a spin on what I say that is in line with their lies and re-distribute.  There is no teamwork among people of good will in the media business and that is a crying shame.  So, I have removed the Fox affiliate from my distribution.  I have removed Sean Hanity from my distribution list.

With this being said, what about the other three Binghamton television network affiliates? NBC and ABC affiliates in Binghamton are run by one owner. The local news comes from one outlet: Newschannel 34, the ABC affiliate.  The PBS affiliate has no local news, only the PBS Newshour and other PBS network news analysis.

This situation leaves the local CBS affiliate, WBNG, channel 12.  The local news is not always “local, but taken from “wire” stories on CNN and other news places. CBS Channel 12 had the best local news source in this area, back in the years when I was growing up.  Today, I would have to say this Grey Company local affiliate is not THE BEST, but it sure is better than Fox 40.

What bothers me about local channel 12 is the fact it no longer accepts email. This is the device I have used to distribute what I write.  Why does channel 12 do this? Why does a news AND INFORMATION channel not read what I write any more? What the hell is going on? Here we are and I can say my likes and dislikes are pretty much on the same page as channel 12. But none of my writing is accepted there.  Don’t get me wrong. There is never 100% agreement with any humans or human organizations. But my judgment is that, unlike Fox, they don’t lie. They are not liars, liars pants on fire.

Yesterday, I was in an area in which a local Solid Gold radio broadcast (Equinox) was difficult to receive as we have a country music station interfering. So, in the car, we turned to another local radio station with music more acceptable to us, though it was NOT solid gold.  In this area, there are pockets where hills block one signal and from some valley comes another. Back in the days of my youth, with mostly AM broadcasts, that never happened here. Even when FM was introduced, it never happened. We received ALL Binghamton stations plus other smaller city stations. Today, we senior citizens are being relegated to purchasing, on a lower revenue stream in our family budget, Sirius XM. At one time, it was all FREE, FREE, FREE – supported by local advertisers.  But yesterday, in the car, when listening to this other station because we were FORCED to do so by rules emanating from the FCC which is controlled by big business when it should be a third party representing the DEMAND SIDE of the market or WE THE PEOPLE.  It is represented by those on the SUPPLY SIDE of the market. Period.  Money is used to validate this. BS on that because free broadcast once DID make money and could still make money, just not feed the already filled to the brim pockets of those with hedgefund investments like the guy Sixty Minutes reported on who now owns a multitude of newspapers and can buy a mansion in Miami when most of us have had to leave Florida because we cannot afford the housing there (along with factors of heat, humidity, and hurricanes with outrageous costs to put money into an insurance hole for hurricanes and never see it again).  But on this radio station we were FORCED to turn to, as a Cuban citizen might be forced when Castro put a block on many broadcasts from Miami, we listened to the news. At the end, we discovered we were FORCED to listen to Fox News. Fox News ended the broadcast with “all America loves Fox News.” Another lie because all America DOES NOT love Fox News. They say it to inspire groupthink from peer pressure and get Republicans elected. I call the Republicans “republicunts” and “repugnicans” because, due to Fox News, the Republicans have become perverted and are NOT like the Republicans I knew one time, associated with, and was a registered Republican. BTW. How much media is covering those of us who have found that “republicunts” and “repugnicans” have forced us to leave the party? Instead I hear crap about Democrats.

Interestingly enough, the story on Fox News which we heard and which surprised us, was a condemnation of Joe Biden. It was absurd as this news report did not just report the news, as was the function under the Fairness Doctrine, but made a comment about how bad Biden was because he stood up to Big Oil.  In other words, he stood up to the Koch brothers, Texas slick oil men, and others.  Fox News did not say that, did they? They wish to force the Keystone Oil Pipeline and only do that by drawing a false picture of alternative fuels. Had we been more in line with alternative fuels, due to Fox News, we would not be stuck today with the a dilemma which mirrors the results of the 1973 oil embargo.  It was republicunts which put the axe on alternative fuels – for the sake of BIG OIL

This harks back to a Sixty Minutes report many years ago about the development of green technology and alternative fuels with the help of government “incubator” money for business in America.  The report was a great one in which we the people learned that America, perhaps being blocked by BIG OIL back in those days(?), did not have investors to buy up those companies because it required deep pocket-ed investors for the long term development of such alternatives.  Your report told about investors from China who were purchasing these “startups.”  And to Fox News people, they blame government dollars being thrown to China, while they never report on how much Big Oil was sabotaging Americans who may have wanted to invest, so as to hold the control in thic country. It is the basis for attacks against Democrats, while, as is always the case (and with gun safety and domestic terrorism), it is the Fox followers and their sabotage which are the root cause – with their evil love of money.

With all of this explanation, I return to the issue of local news CBS affiliate, channel 12. Back in the days when television was first begun, I recall channel 12 being both CBS and ABC. The local NBC affiliate is now Fox40 and a new NBC affiliate was formed after that change happened.  Channel 12 was the only VHF affiliate at that time. It still really is the only “digital” VHF, except perhaps the local NBC affiliate run by ABC affiliate channel 34. Thus, in those early years, few people actually invested in a UHF antenna. I know my dad did not. It was stupid of the FCC to do that, especially when we compare to the city of Scranton where ALL the local affiliates have been UHF and VHF has not existed there. If there were smart people on the FCC back then, they would have handed all the VHF to bigger cities such as Syracuse, Rochester, and so forth. With the VHF affiliate in Binghamton and no one investing in UHF antennas, but purchasing huge VHF antennas to receive channel 12 of Binghamton and the Syracuse VHF stations, that station in Binghamton left the other network broadcasts in the dark as underdogs to channel 12. The news reporting on channels 40 and 34, quite frankly my dear, SUCKED.

When channel 12 was both CBS and ABC, we got to see, in the late 1950s when I was at pre-K age, Mickey Mouse Club. It was broadcast on ABC, so channel 12 picked it up.  (Ironic that ABC is now owned by Disney and the “mouse”).  Thus, my favoritism of CBS channel 12, which went to CBS only at the time channel 34 was created (WBJA) as an ABC affiliate (see the story about the history of channel 34: https://tvstations.fandom.com/wiki/WIVT ).

Thus, with the sabotage of my stories conducted by Fox and the fact that a better news station (CBS 12 of Binghamton) rejects email, I have to protest this situation because good people are not coming together to solve this problem in America. This is not polarization. It is the news and information being taken over by one network when we have four networks. Fox operates in the same way as the communist party or Nazi party control of broadcasting in a dictatorship.

I repeat. That is NOT polarization so bleeding heart liberals need to stop being so damn diplomatic about it all and calling it polarization.  I despised the Capitol 4th concert this past week (on PBS) because, once again, it tries to be nice and talk about a divided America. It is NOT divided. It is a nation with the stage being set for dictatorial control just like that of Hitler and Goebbels. We need to stop pussyfooting around with all this BS for bleeding heart diplomacy – as if that is going to fix the problem.  Given the evidence in history in other nations, THIS BLEEDING HEART DIPLOMACY WILL NOT FIX THE PROBLEM OF THIS NATION HEADING TOWARDS A DICTATORSHIP. IT WILL NOT. I have been correct in EVERYTHING I HAVE SAID AND WRITTEN SINCE THE ELECTION OF RONALD REAGAN IN 1980, so TO BE IGNORED NOW IS REALLY ASININE.  To not be able to write to the local CBS affiliate is asinine, too.  You people need to collect the information, not be concerned about how nice Fox or republicunts or repugnicans are treated.  Stop the BS of bleeding hearts.  Stop scoffing at people like me and ignoring what we are saying.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE. People of America consider what German Niemoller said:

“First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out— because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.’

This quote was one of many which inspired the creation of the Fairness Doctrine in late 1940s USA.  Cowards are the ones who realize I am correct and use what I write to the detriment of people of good will among the Democrats AND true Republicans (i.e., the Lincoln Project).  It is about time journalism and media reared its head loud and strong against such actions.

Why does local CBS affiliate channel 12 NOT accept email? What the hell is this in forcing us to do? All to go to ONE monopolized platform called Facebook? Or forcing us to go to social media only?  Forcing us to listen to the lies of Fox and other outlets of hatred?  Listen to the DEMAND SIDE of a capitalist market which SHOULD exist with balance between supply and demand. I speak about such balance and keep in mind this is just as the checks and balances are SUPPOSED to exist in our government between executive, legislative, and judicial, but has been SABOTAGED by people like Trump, Giuliani, McConnell, Thomas, Kavanaugh, Barrett, Kevin McCarthy, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Gaetz, and many other sodomites who enjoy rape of women, but not homosexuality.

For the DEMAND SIDE, I am speaking. Now pay attention to many of us who want checks and balances in government and economics, not a dictatorship of the SUPPLY-SIDERS.

Happy 4th of July – with NEWSPAPERS! NOT!

Dear Editors:

Shame on you for discontinuing all Saturday and holiday print publications. In fact, GODDAMN the fat pigs who have manipulated this market for more than 10 years, purposely attempting to eliminate local news coverage and local political issues, whether it be newspapers or the loss of local broadcasting.  If they only regulate themselves there could be no need for the common folks of America to demand government regulation. If they would only regulate themselves, by the examples of Binghamton-area folks from the past like George F. Johnson (be sensitive to community and employees and call this industrial democracy, based on the moral sentiments expressed by Founding Fathers contemporary, Adam Smith). We wake up this morning with our minds, “set on Jesus.” But we are no longer to wake up this morning on the 4th of July with our minds set on reading the newspaper, unless we get it FORCED and CRAMMED down our throats electronically. Piss on the fat pigs for doing this.

And there are those who scoff and laugh at me for being so adamant to stand up and turn this thing around. I do have experience in this line and a wisdom of age.

More recently, in an economics magazine, there was an article titled, “Culture vultures.” The article identified this yanking of local news with digital bullshit activities (my words, not the magazine’s words), to have reduced the ability of people to understand and to know the people running for Congress unless they listen to the bullshit ads on television with lies and tarnishing of images rather than a discussion of issues.  The lowest level of intelligence focuses on tarnishing images and the highest level of intelligence is to focus on issues. We have people seeking huge increases in their income, with bonuses, who have inundated the newspaper ownership with their lousy attitudes towards consumers and a push for digital. The discriminate against those who are unable to read on computers unless they spend tons of money to wire their home so as to sit in a recliner and read the morning newspaper. Let alone the discrimination against senior citizens and those who either don’t want computers or just plain cannot afford them. And don’t look for handouts to solve the problem by purchasing computers for such folks because it drives up the costs all around for all of society. Keep it SIMPLE STUPID. Stop the bullshit of sensationalist news on digital access.  The visually impaired are also discriminated against with this digital bullshit. We don’t want handouts when the KISS of all of this is to simply have a printed copy of a newspaper.  This 4th of July, the Gannett Pravda of Binghamton (Piss & Sun-Bullshit) tells us all to read it online.  Well. Piss on you, Fat Pigs of Gannett – the modern-day versions of ROBBER BARONS and FAT CATS.

My experience and knowledge is like this. I observed as many of us who are trainers, educators, teachers, professors, librarians, healthcare workers, and many other LOW-PAID people who help people and society (as their goal) to be laid off and the jobs destroyed.  I was one of them, for the sake of fat pigs at the top of the corporation who kept many high-paid lawyers and accountants on while the rest of us were screwed.  Librarians, too, in newspapers. Their jobs to assist reporters (also losing their jobs) in local news. The LOCAL would not only include political news. It would also be sections in the newspapers on local food culture, arts, entertainment, restaurant reviews, health issues, business issues, personal finance issues, and don’t forget the comic strips.  The list goes on and on of what WAS once provided by LOCAL newspapers and local BROADCASTING.  All have been replaced by a communist style nationalization of newspapers done in the name of capitalist monopolization.  The company where I lost my job as a corporate librarian was one of many across the land which got rid of librarians, in the name of deregulation and monopolization (supply side Reaganomics).  In each case, whether a deregulated company or newspapers, the purpose was to eliminate the demand side of the market. The newspapers have done a swell job in accomplishing this task.

I knew someone who was laid off at a Florida newspaper in 2008, after working there for 33 years.  His local television TV grid, one of many things he did, was curtailed and quite possibly, eventually eliminated. All in the deliberate attempt to strategize to help Rupert Murdoch and others eliminate local broadcasting in favor of Fox News. I don’t dream this up about Rupert Murdoch. He is actually quoted, from which I paraphrase.  Recently, the Piss & Sun-Bullshit (Gannett’s local Pravda) eliminated local TV grids completely. I have suggested that if it’s too much to put in a grid with ALL those thousands of channels (most of which are shallow and useless, for which we pay Spectrum and others), that the Piss & Sun-Bullshit just compile the schedules of all the local broadcast channels and provide a listing of all the local radio stations (no need for schedule), identifying what music or news stations are provided by local radio. As people who moved to this area in 2019, we rely on those things. Instead, what did Gannett do? Offer us a separate “TV Weekly at cost.  Right. As Barbara Ehrenreich wrote in her book, “nickeling and diming” Americans.  This nickeling and diming of Americans does one thing and that is not to increase profits, but to make HUGE profits and line the pant pockets of the fat pigs at the top.  That has been proven, too, and needs to stop.

As a customer on the demand side of this market, I have purchased newspapers for many years and have observed the deliberate condensing of newspapers for the sake of ONLY those people at the top.  At one time, I did the advertising for a group in South Florida. We put ads in the local newspaper there and were very pleased with the turnout we received. A great capitalist return on investment. FACT:  Newspapers operate by selling more advertisements and the prices are based on circulation numbers.  This newspaper raised its advertising rates AND its circulation rates.  The organization with which I worked decided they were not going to pay those high prices because the return on investment for us was reduced, as the prices of subscriptions and single copies went up.  The net result was lack of money because the circulation numbers went down.  So, what is done? Raise the advertising rates. It becomes a catch 22 for which lainbrain fat pigs running these organizations running them were blinded.  Or were they blinded?

When attending classes at UCF in Orlando, I noticed that the newspaper there was giving newspapers to students. With the “Knight card,” we could obtain a free newspaper. One had to get there to find a newspaper or they were all snarfed up. In other words, to sell more advertisements at a decent cost and to sell more tailored to the young age market, that newspaper could watch its circulation numbers go up.

When I returned to my home campus in South Florida, I suggested the local newspapers there do the same thing. Having been with an organization which yanked our advertising for our LOCALLY PRODUCED concerts, I thought, as a professor at a college there, the same thing could be done in South Florida. I was scoffed at the suggestion by lainbrains.

Then I move back to New York and discover, the thickest “papers” in the area and the only one of about a half dozen subscription-based weekly newspapers which failed, was one which had ALWAYS been available free of charge, even back to the days when I was a kid here. They succeeded with the same model of a “pape” which was done at UCF Orlando.  Since my earlier days, they had added “news” items as well.  Local news.  Such things did not exist. The local supermarket keeps this newspaper, but does NOT have the Piss & Sun-Bullshit nor the Ithaca (another Gannett in a monopolized world) Journal available. One does the grocery shopping and has to walk down the street to get the others.  The local newspaper which does NOT rely on selling subscriptions, gives it away free of charge and likely has a far larger advertising revenue to pay for the printing. And as far as I know, this local newspaper is NOT digital. So Piss & Sun-Bullshit loses readers with its lainbrain fat pigs who FORCE digital down our throats.

I have some suggestions, but if one wants to simply scoff at my suggestions, then go to hell.

1. Gannett do what was done in the Tampa Bay area where they went from two newspapers (St. Petersburg Times and Tampa Tribune) to one which incorporates the Gannett newspapers in the small cities of Binghamton, Ithaca, and Elmira. Call it the Southern Tier Press, Sun-Bulletin, Journal, Star-Gazette. Or simply shorten it to The Southern Tier Press because Binghamton is the largest of the cities.  The Sun-Bulletin consists of a name from the Endicott Bulletin, but most young people probably don’t even know such history.  Or simply create a new name completely, like The Southern Tier Newsday.  But don’t make it sensationalist like the bullshit in The Daily News or The New York Post. More like the tabloid called Newsday.

2. Make The Southern Tier Newsday a tabloid, but not sensationalist.

3. Bring back local community information besides just the news. Bring back local columnists which write non-biased observations about what is happening. Bring back a food column. With such a newspaper, the school at Cornell University which gave us upstate NY style BBQ chicken or Endicott-style spiedies, etc., etc., etc., could be part of such a food culture and recipe column. Bring back entertainment reviews, including concert reviews, theatre reviews, restaurant reviews, recreational reviews (not sports), etc. And there are many other local community events and reviews, including restaurant reviews, as well.  We don’t need Facebook to do this, but open it up for all of us to read, whether we are wealthy and can afford the best computers and over-priced Internet service, or less advantaged.

4. Bring back local delivery of the newspapers by kids. Make certain these kids collect the money from the customers and have an advantage to expand their routes. These things have been removed by communist-style centrally located Gannett Pravda and others. What do we wish to do? Emulate freaking lousy Putin who needs to be pissed on?  He leads a nation which has ALWAYS been governed by vicious and lousy individuals who are more like Genghis Khan than like Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, FDR, Eisenhower, JFK, and others in our long line of good leaders.  Allow the carriers to pay a wholesale cost and sell at retail so as to learn what COMPETITIVE capitalism, not the fat pig version of a monopolistic centrally-controlled economics which is NOT capitalism.  And if these young people need to go door-to-door to collect for the papers, then they should be required to have two people at any time when knocking on doors.  Of course, if all newspapers were distributed at no per-copy charge, then there would be no collections at the door, but customers encouraged to leave a tip for the carriers which would be paid according to the number of newspapers delivered.  The higher the number, the more the kids would be paid. Thus, such “business” enterprise could be taught so as to teach what it means to market and distribute newspapers.

5. Newspapers could increase the circulation numbers by selling both print AND digital copies. But those receiving print copies would get them free.  The method now is to treat customers like shit unless they USE the digital copies. That is NOT SUPPLY and DEMAND capitalism. That is fascist rule from supply side economics.  That is NOT capitalism.

Recently, I contacted a newspaper publisher which was advertising its need to get delivery people. I am too old to do door-to-door, even by car. But I suggested, since this newspaper was from out of town and only one store was carrying it, I would be willing to diver to stores in western Broome and eastern Tioga Counties so as to deliver to those stores.  Having more newspapers in a store CAN attract customers, especially those who are being screwed by not getting home delivery, or having a really lousy home delivery.  The newspaper is at a store at a neighboring county and stores in this county have mentioned how they would love to have this newspaper available for their customers, but cannot get it.  Smart and intelligent people would say this, recognizing that, even though they don’t make a profit from the newspapers, the store has a good means for expanding their own customer base – with newspaper availability.  Smart people at the supermarket which is part of a chain which bought out another chain.  To date, I have had no “call back” from this newspaper.

Ben Franklin had a newspaper. He even promoted the building of libraries, as did Thomas Jefferson. Today, many librarians have been axed, in the name of high-paid lawyers and accountants – bean counters – who remain. Personal injury and workman’s comp lawyers are lousy and need to consider taking on an issue such as this. But no. They are too damn lazy to do this, as they milk customers and U.S. taxpayer money from the court system. Meanwhile, we have a politicized U.S. Supreme Court in this polarized society which has been decimated by nationalized newspapers which do not cover local areas properly.  Ben Franklin did.  Thomas Jefferson started the Library of Congress and sent the Marine Corps to Tripoli to counter pirates from a Muslim government which had deposed a much more humanitarian Muslim leader.  “… to the shores of Tripoli.”  Besides those soldiers who fought in Europe during World War I & II, as well as the many who fought in the Pacific, I honor them on this 4th of July. I can only hope that their sacrifices will not be town down by nationalistic fat pigs and younger common folk who don’t even acknowledge what they have today because of promotion of being individualistic fat pigs, snots, and spoiled brats. They should listen to my grandparents and parents talk about the Great Depression and those wars, and all with which our society had to suffer.  The GODDAMN Bible thumpers and their ideas that the only part of the Bible important to them is “an eye for an eye,” even after Jesus Christ taught us we should NOT follow those things. However, these GODDAMN Bible thumpers ignore the fact that parts of the Bible tell us to “honor thy father and thy mother.”  Honor those who came before us and left us with good along with the bad. Examine the good, you bastard SOBs.

Crying About Spilled Milk as Heard on the Street

😁😁😁What is heard on the street these days? People from the World War II generation with whom I worked in a corporation would often sit and have coffee, discussing “what is the street talk?” Often we came to have knowledge about what is going on in the world which surrounds us. Thinking about that, as i listen to people.

What we DID NOT hear on the street in those days was talk of people with snotty snobbish spoiled-brat attitudes. I hear that on the street quite regularly today. Is this the result of the raising of my generation by those who followed Dr. Spock? Was it caused by followers on Ayn Rand who promoted “the virtue of selfishness?” Is it caused by those invigorated by libertarian/anarchists who say “anything goes?” Is it caused by a portion of the media which appeals to snotty snobbish spoiled-brat people so as to get their testosterone and adrenaline flowing strong and just want it to be said what they like to hear and such snotty folks don’t want to learn? As a result of this, is this caused by peer pressure and groupthink among cliques of people who are being led by mafia-type wealthy ones? After all, the old fraternal organizations are being destroyed.

That word, “destroyed.” How many times have I heard Republicunt Repugnican leaders use that word? Destroy, as those on the street, like lemmings, follow the call of the evil spirit, thinking they will go off to heaven when they are being led off a cliff.

Heard “on the street.” An older man, probably an older one in my own generation, is talkinga about “how bad the world is.” OK. If I could, my reply would be, “what are you doing about it? Just sitting around bloviating about how bad it is? It is like a person crying over spilled milk and letting it dribble over the side and rot, rather than to clean it up. Where is the, “I am mad as hell and ain’t going to take it anymore.” Instead, too many people moan and cry and cry and moan – and think this will accomplish something.

Then, I hear this “on the street.” “Well, the Founding Fathers caused a problem because they owned slaves.” Oh? So, rather than taking the time to explain how much we have learned, over the centuries, about this situation, and moved to change it, what the hell is this person doing but dredging up old wounds and not thinking about what we can do, after LEARNING from that situation? What are the concepts for which we can learn from this? Defend the 2nd Amendment and pick up a weapon? Be hateful as possible towards those trying to make things right? Make false claims that this is a “christian nation” and there was no intent for separation of church and state and freedom to have our own beliefs? Ignoring the fact that most of the Founding Fathers may have attended Christian churches, but were actually Deists, free to maintain what ever belief they wished to maintain. No. I heard someone dredging up old wounds, ignoring how far the African-Americans in the USA have come and how far we need to go to progress even more. Someone crying in the sour milk, rather than helping to clean up the sour milk and pour fresh milk. That is what I heard and it is abominable, to say the least. Something I never heard spoken of when conversing with those of the World War II generation at coffee, many years ago in a corporation.

What is systemic racism?

The word, “systemic” defined with anatomy of the body: “affecting the body in general.” Blood circulation or vaccination against disease in the body of a human being. As for plants, “systemic pesticide” is good for the body of a plant because it is absorbed in the root system and circulated through the plant and is toxic to insects and fungus, but not to the plant. The COVID-19 vaccine can be described as a “systemic” reaction to, perhaps, create immunity and antibodies by “flowing” flowing through the body. A shot to counter toxic snake venom in the human body is a “systemic” reaction for the sake of the human body and to counter the affect of a toxin.

So, where does that lead us with regard to “systemic racism” in society? Rev. Tiffany Thomas said, “People are tired of marching. People are tired of hashtag protests. People want some systemic change.” Very ambiguous, with the word, “change,” because “change” means many different things to different people. Individualism predominates over societal change and sometimes to the detriment of different parts of society, as systemic granules are toxic to aphids or powdery mildew.

Systemic poverty permeates a portion of society, while greedy wealth individuals like Trump and the Republicunt Repugnicans hold many people hostage to this existence and tell lies to get others to follow them.

Systemic racism? According to good.is, systemic racism is defined in this way: “Systemic racism goes beyond individual beliefs and feelings about people of other races. It means that the systems on which a society functions—the economic system, the education system, the heathcare system, the criminal justice system, etc.—are both infused with and impacted by the racism within which they were created and maintained.”

As with the systemic granules used to repel insects with a toxin, the “toxic” part of racism is hidden within white racists who believe they are NOT racist, as they smile politely and nicely about the black race. Then there comes an older man who, on the street, can only find negative things to say about the Founding Fathers because he (or she) really and truly only thinks about how bad African-Americans have caused problems for our society, by the mere existence of the race. In this way, the person ignores all the advances which have been made to overcome slavery, racism, and bigotry, also ignoring the great things our Founding Fathers did to establish this nation and establish it with many freedoms, including the freedom to maintain our own religious beliefs and have a peaceful life and liberty, with the ability to seek happiness. Liberty and justice for all means we also acknowledge how well this nation has done, in spite of the imperfections which still exist. Putting down the Founding Fathers because they had slaves accomplishes what? Nothing but negativity towards the black race and does so with the peer pressure groupthink within the white community, like creating a toxin within a plant. Systemic.

Why do I mention this? Because the person on the street also mentions how “happy people in Scandinavian nations are. No quarrel with that assessment, as we are aware of the conclusions of surveys which establish Scandinavian nations like Denmark as having the “happiest people on earth.” The conclusion of this person is that they have socialism in the Scandinavian nations. Socialist democracies, not dictatorships. True, for sure. No argument there, either.

But once again, this goes back to the systemic racism part of America. Why, you ask me? Because there never was any slavery in the Scandinavian nations and not sure there is a number of colored folks there. So, thus, the nation works well with socialism in a white-oriented society. Bad. In other words, someone described Finland, Norway, Sweden, and Denmark as having “homogeneous populations.” Like homogenized milk, the cream and the milk are mixed together to provide a well-mixed beverage. There is nothing outside white mixed into a homogenized milk. After homogenization, we can add chocolate in the form of syrup or powder, but it never becomes homogenized in the white milk.

What the “man on the street” failed to recognize is that socialism in this nation is blocked by the white folks who don’t wish to add chocolate to the mix. He whimpered about why there are so many Americans who reject socialist democracy when there is proof it works. I just explained the reason, but no one is thinking about that.

And a black Clarence Thomas also wants to be segregated, so likely goes along with the white crowd and disdains things about socialism which tends to work with those “homogenized” together like an integrated society. Except for one difference in Scandinavia. They don’t have as many of the colored to homogenize or integrate. It can also be described by an example of a black African nation trying to “homogenize” white folks into the nation, without white folks pushing for apartheid and/or segregation.

Until the man on the street and the peer pressure / groupthink changes it’s freaking lousy attitude of hatred, individualism, and selfishness in America, we will continue to have problems. So, my question is to the “man on the street,” what are you going to do about this situation so as to SOLVE the problem by not relying on freaking lousy ideology (liberal or conservative) and freaking lousy animosities towards economic systems which actually might work.

And the person on the street fails to recognize that I can go out on a limb and say that Scandinavian nations reserve portions of society which need socialism for socialism. Other portions of society that need long-term capitalist ideas for investments and returns on investments and price structures based on supply and demand in capitalism. They are rational in their approach and do not have minimum wage laws at all because their top part of society acknowledges those who don’t have it all and need opportunities. Volvo is not a “nationalized” company owned by the government. Prices are based on capitalist competition, not destruction of competitors by fat pigs of monopoly. Whether monopolies or nationalized industries such as the ones in communist nations produce shoddy products and services at high prices. We already have such shoddy and high prices here and at the local level, with people who advertise their electrical business but don’t fulfill their promises and get the work done. Such people are just like those in a communist nation, not the type of socialist-capitalist-democracy nations in Scandinavia.

To freaking lousy Clarence Thomas and others. Go to hell. Because the Chinese communists do not have long-term capitalist investments of resources like pensions and Social Security. America does and the Republicunt Repugnicans want to destroy these parts of American society which separate us from being like communists. In the process, the Republicunt Repugnicans confuse people like the “people on the street,” make them paranoid as hell in crying over spilled milk, holds them hostage to the fantasies of Trump-Rick the Prick-McConnell-DeSatan fascist pigs. They pay members of the SCOTUS and in other areas to do their dirty work and make themselves look good.

Come on, Joe Biden, get tough with them and stop pussy-footing around, as chaos emerges by deliberate creation on the “street where I live” and we are not being led to a “cloud nine” or “several stories high,” with delight, but many people fantasize that we are or are crying about spilled milk. These are mostly stupid ones with guns or lack of intelligence or both, having no desire to learn and gain wisdom so as to accomplish something good for America’s future.

🧐🧐🧐🖖🖖🖖🙏🙏🙏

What is on my Mind this morning? (Thurs., June 30, 2022) RE: Reproductive Rights and the Lousy SCOTUS we have put there by Politics, not for the purpose of Justice

😁What’s on my mind? Just reading about a Republican candidate for Congress who said “overturning Roe v. Wade is a victory.” A victory for whom? Who is the winner of this decision? Do these bastards, and I will call them BASTARDS and SOBs of all kind, think it is a victory for all fetus in the womb? Is it really? Will these bastards outlaw things like coat hangers and other devices which will still be used by many females and then take the lives of living and breathing out-of-the-womb females? Really. Some victory for fetus, huh?

Perhaps these bastards think it is a victory for men who harass women and leave their pubic hairs on soda cans, like Clarence Thomas? Or perhaps for men who rape women, like many others, including another person who calls himself a “Justice?”

Look. I don’t like abortions, either. I would try to talk any female contemplating such a thing out of it, should their own life not be threatened or they were raped by a vicious testosterone-laden aggressive freaking male. I would work very hard, as Planned Parenthood does, to TEACH, not PREACH, that young people be proactive with either self-control or considering and using PRE-CONCEPTION contraception. Such measures should be taken BEFORE penetration and conception. In the end, though, the decision remains with the two people involved in the conception, not with a court of law run by corrupt politicians who want favors done with money and a love of money. Hypocritical people who, with their freaking lousy ideas from their own religious beliefs which supersede, truly, any interest in any human life, whether in the womb or outside the womb.

This is a victory, too, for lousy puritanical Protestants, Jews, and Roman Catholics. This government is not based on a “Christian nation.” Anyone who proposes this is perverted and has no sense of what it means to have the democracy which our Founding Fathers, MOST OF THEM DEISTS, wanted for this nation so as to maintain a democracy. You people SUCK big time. If you don’t like what our Founding Fathers laid down here, then LEAVE THIS NATION AND DON’T COME BACK, you lousy imbeciles. Yes, I am being quite blunt here and sounding vicious. But we are dealing with vicious people who want to override many of our religious beliefs, perhaps even the beliefs of atheists, Deists, and agnostics. The freedom of religion and separation of church and state should have been recognized by such assholes as Clarence Thomas, Brett Kavanaugh, Coney-Barrett, Mitch McConnell, and various others. You are just that. Assholes for not recognizing the role of separation of church and state and WHY it was initially proposed by DEISTS. You are nothing but asshole and I will NOT be as kind as Joe Biden who thinks we are still dealing with people who want to work out compromise in a democracy. Joe Biden who was diplomatic with Republicans when he was Judiciary chair and put asshole Clarence Thomas in place on the SCOTUS. And he IS an asshole. Whether black or white asshole. Now the diplomacy of that time has come back to slap Americans in the face because the GODDAMN MAN FROM KENTUCKY, corrupt as he is, IS NOT DIPLOMATIC and WORK for compromise.

Trump and the Republicunt leadership have no sense of ANY human value and would likely perform genocide on those who don’t agree with them. In this way, they can say they “maintain the peace.” But they destroy justice and use the the SCOTUS for POLITICAL MEANS only. That is NOT what the SCOTUS was designed to be.

Justice Thurgood Marshall had definitions of what democracy and SCOTUS are all about. I do not have the exact definitions, but can paraphrase as best as I am able to do. Justice Marshall was one who defined a democracy by majority and minority. Majorities, whether huge majorities or simple majorities, are decide the guidelines (legislation) for life in America. However, Justice Marshall pointed out that the minority needs to be considered too.

OK. So a majority of Americans, in quite large numbers, were against the decimation of Roe v. Wade. So the “victory” goes to a minority of people when the SCOTUS justices are utilized in the perverted manner they have? Sure. A SIMPLE majority in the U.S. Senate, under the guidance of McConnell, weaved this court into place, even to go against precedent when President Obama appointed a justice and we get a political “conservative” court instead. It’s not conservative. I have many conservative ideals and I don’t agree with what the SCOTUS justices have done. This SCOTUS does the bidding of puritanical assholes in religion and I am conservative but NOT puritanical. So go to hell, those who should NOT be on the SCOTUS and prevailing over MY LIFE.

Repugnican leaders are now working, as always, to destroy, not reform. When there is a simple majority, especially, if one were to apply what SCOTUS Justice Marshall said, then there should be reform, not destruction, by means of compromise between majority and minority – NOT, you assholes, by means of liberal and conservatives or Repugnicans and Democrats.

Yes, I am going to continue calling them assholes because that is what they have and I give such assholes no honor or respect for attempting to destroy a great democracy defined by DEISTS and others in the Founding Fathers. You are no longer worthy of being called TRAITORS, but ASSHOLES worse than TRAITORS.

I am like Teddy Roosevelt, a man who refuses to deal with money-loving assholes with diplomacy. No more. Reform COULD have preserved Roe v. Wade and some of its problems. Any liberal unwilling to do this, too, is just as much of an asshole and brought this destruction of Roe v. Wade on, just as much as those who CALL themselves conservatives (when they are not). Theocratic-endorsing, autocratic-endorsing ones have all brought this on to America and disrupted good things we have in this nation, thinking you will bring peace by DICTATING YOUR BELIEFS UPON ALL OF US. I say go to hell because you people suck and I, for one, have had enough of you assholes.

If you don’t like the great democracy and the way it was set up with LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL, stop pledging allegiance to the American flag and go live with Putin in Russia. Stop acting, doing, and sabotaging this nation in the name of the dictatorial czars, communists, and Putins of Russia. Go live with them and leave this nation – get the hell out because you ruin the peace and justice of those of us who respect other human beings, in spite of how we all think. We have a government which was better than most in helping us to work with each other as human beings.

Even the FREAKING NRA wants to have automatic weapons to kill human beings while most hunters and even members of the NRA have told me they would never use an automatic weapon on an animal when they hunt in the woods. It is all in the leadership in such groups and the money they have that WE THE PEOPLE have been denied with denial of OPPORTUNITIES to succeed in life. Just throw HANDOUTS to WE THE PEOPLE, just as fat pig John D. Rockefeller did as he threw dimes at people during the Robber Baron era of America. Go to hell and go live with Putin, you bastard SOB assholes.

And for quite certain, Rick the Prick in the Senate was put in place by a very tiny, tiny, tiny simple majority win in Florida because of gerrymandering, purchasing the election down there and not addressing ISSUES but throwing dirt at opponents – falsely tarnishing the image of his opponents. Rick the Prick Scott is also an asshole sitting in the U.S. Senate with asshole McConnell.

The governor down there in Florida, Ron DeSatan, won in the same way as the Republicans do. A simple majority over a black man, his purchasing the election, tarnishing and image and the results of gerrymandering in Florida. So, now a nation intent on “winning” likes this example? Perhaps those who put winning above integrity, dignity of WE THE PEOPLE, liberty and justice for all, just are mesmerized, like a bunch of lemmings being led to their destruction, likes the Machiavellian style of these corrupt Republicunt assholes – to WIN – and it does not matter what it takes to WIN because feeling like a winner is more important than providing for life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness FOR ALL… LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL. If you repeat this in the Pledge of Allegiance, you are a “sleeping dog” of the tyrannical type with hypocritical actions in life. Jesus Christ condemned hypocrites, not abortionists or homosexuals. So you assholes ARE NOT TRUE CHRISTIANS. You are puritanical assholes. I don’t intend to let such “sleeping dogs lie” with hypocrisy, if I can help it at all. But then. I don’t have money and don’t have a “love of money,” do I? So I don’t fit the tyrannical cliques of America, do I?

If you think it’s because I feel bad that I don’t have the money and am begging for the money, like a stupid person asking for handouts. Think again. I am an American who follows the ways of good American ancestors who, over the centuries, fought for the FREEDOMS OF WE THE PEOPLE of AMERICA. This would include my father who was a soldier in the Pacific during World War II. This would include Grandpa Willet who volunteered for the Civil Defense missions of the U.S. Army Air Corps in the 1940s when we were threatened by Nazi planes. I can go further back to the American Revolution.

I don’t look for handouts. I repeat. I don’t look for handouts because I don’t have the money that the asshole puritanical oligarch (plutocrat, autocrat) bastards who call themselves Republicans but I call them Republicunts and Repugnicans. My heroes are not so many who are now still living, but those like Teddy Roosevelt, Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson, Adam Smith of Scotland, and Ben Franklin, among others. They all had iron steel balls and played hardball. I probably should just say “played hardball,” rather than refer to the FIGURATIVE version of “balls.” But it is FIGURATIVE and thus could be applied to women, too. Women like Teddy Roosevelt’s niece, Eleanor Roosevelt. Or women like Gloria Steinem, Belva Lockwood, Susan B. Anthony, Harriet Tubman, and many other women. I have already mentioned someone who I consider a “hero,” Justice Thurgood Marshall. But there are others of that race, such as Frederick Douglass or Booker T. Washington, and so forth.

JFK was a hero of mine, too. Struck down and injured while involved with a true American “victory” (see the reference to “victory” earlier in my message) in the Pacific during World War II, was killed by what has been kept secret and a well-kept secret. His opposition to sending troops to Vietnam, which the Texas oilmen wanted VP LBJ to do in order to tighten their control over oil. Big Oil is still performing egregious acts against humanity around the world, even today, and in America as well. Of course, what I am saying can be challenged because it has been kept secret, so therefore I lie. If I lie here, then I guess I will be forced to eat crow. But at least I am a MAN enough to admit the guilt, unlike Trump, DeSatan, Rick the Prick (who, on trial, pleaded the fifth and got away with criminal acts), and McCuntface. Let’s just say these guys, figuratively, “get away with murder.” Perhaps the “prick” in the U.S. Senate goes with the “cuntface?”

Another person whom I find as a hero, but was fearful of the Reagan folks for saying so, is Franklin D. Roosevelt. Also President Harry S. Truman. However, the mob groupthink with perverted ideas, like that of the group of Reagan followers, makes people feel guilty if they should not go along with what they are saying. Same thing with the Trump groupthink today, even to the point of Republicunt Repugnicans who work to take money and jobs away from good people, should they not go along with what the Republicunt Repugnicans are saying with regard for hatred of Democrats, including Joe Biden. Is there any possibility small business people in upstate New York do the same things when considering customers? “OH! I want do business with that person because he likes Joe Biden and the Democrats!” But that just makes me paranoid to say this, right? The ones who are doing this are the paranoid ones, especially if they don’t pay taxes and/or refuse to do business with those like me who are Democrats.

And I just expressed a criticism of Joe Biden, in this message. At the same time, I praise Joe Biden for his package of the infrastructure in which Republicunt Repugnicans lie about to their constituents when they return to their home base to campaign for Congress. They voted against the infrastructure, but then go home and take credit for it. “Let sleeping dogs lie,” right? Asshole liars, tyrannical traitors to America and its democratic values, to which these assholes took an oath.

I will continue to stand up for America. I don’t like Big Oil, but that does not mean I am not a patriot. In fact, I am a better patriot than many of the asshole leaders of the Republicunt Repugnican Party.

I now have to hope and pray that I do not face adversity from a bunch of secretive fraternal snots who must have learned their secretive ways from Hitler and Putin.

Now, that is what is on my mind today.

Beautiful CBS Channel 12 and Mattar Commercials and We Don’t Get to the Root of our Societal Problems with Lawyers who Think we Do

Mattar puts a commercial on television about being hit by a drunk driver and then going after them. The problem is not solved by avenging what was done.

The problem does not have its roots in alcohol or drugs. The problem is not alcohol consumed by young people, either. The same thing can be said that the problem about domestic terrorists such as the one who shot people in Buffalo last Saturday, is not guns.  None of these problems can be solved by censorship and prohibition. This would include the problem of abortion. These problems stem from a lack of education to teach young people to be responsible and always consider cause and effect in our lives.

Historically, the problem stems from moving to a consideration of community and society to one of individualism and the virtue of selfishness. The love affair America created with the car created much of this individualism and eliminated the existence of public transit. We moved from horse and buggy days to the automobile. We think we need to create automobiles which are “intelligent” as horses were in getting a drunkard back home, “automatically” after imbibing at a pub, tavern, bar, or restaurant.

The problem is the lack of intelligence and reasoning due to individualist thinking of human beings.  Lawyers like Mattar do NOTHING to help solve this problem. They just pit Americans against Americans. This attitude is a polarizing one.  Such lawyers just figure they are doing a service by filing lawsuits against big insurance companies.  Many of us can explain what is TRULY needed for lawsuits against some corporations. Lawyers like Mattar refuse to listen to us.

Yes, Mr. Mattar, it is sad that we have DUI in society. For sure. But I grew up in a dry town in New York state where we witnessed people driving out of town to drink at restaurants, bars, etc. We heard of a man who drove from a wet town back home and did not realize there was a train coming down the tracks he was crossing, so the train hit his car. We learned the man was decapitated in the process. What has been done to end this crap? We had trains for public transit. We had horses and buggies. The automobile and individualist thinking with the love affair for the car is the real problem. Related to lawyers, I spoke with people who revived old passenger trains here in the valley for the purpose of putting dining cars on the trains and selling tickets for dining where someone could ride and receive alcohol while dining and not have to drive a long distance.  Why did this passenger service stop? I was told it was due to lawyers which caused the price of insurance to go too high to make a profit.  Lawyers who could then use the money to pay for commercials like those of William Mattar and others, as they pit Americans against Americans.

P.S. Hopefully, sending this message to the Rachael Ray Show, where I have viewed most of the stupid commercials for Mattar and other lawyers who pit Americans against Americans, I can convey my message to Rachael’s husband, John, who is also a lawyer.

I can’t imagine what it is like to be a woman in the United States of America today. If I feel the blow of Samuel Alito’s draft opinion pm Roe v Wade in the pit of my stomach – and I do – I can only try to imagine how it must feel to have one’s own body assaulted, occupied, and colonized in this way.

Many people are repeating the line used by then-Sen. Kamala Harris in Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearing for the Supreme Court. “Can you think of any laws that give the government the power to make decisions about the male body?” she asked. “I’m not thinking of any right now, Senator,” Kavanaugh replied.

But there is such a law, and it’s worth mentioning. The Selective Service requires all men of a certain age to register for military conscription. The draft hasn’t been used in many years — it affects men, who have more power — but it allows the government to take possession of men’s’ bodies and use them as instruments of war. My generation of men faced a high probability of being drafted and were ordered to submit to the requisite training and be sent off to Vietnam if we were chosen.

That was the old order. Men fought for the state, and when they returned home (if they returned home) they worked for wages to support the economic system. Women bred for the state, then raised the children that they produced. You played your role or you paid the price.

Now, they’re bringing the old order back. They call themselves “pro-life,” even as they clamor for war, for poverty, to deprive people of medical care and a livable involvement. You can’t be pro-life and call down death.

We are once again ruled by a priesthood that preaches the right to life from the moment of conception until the moment you’re born Muslim. Or dark-skinned. Or poor. Or female.

The men who are shrugging off this development better think twice. Unless you’re privileged, they’ll devalue your life too. You can’t be anti-woman and pro-human. Some men will experience the pyrrhic pleasure of mistreating women, but at what cost? Watch out, men. They’ll make a barbarian of you soon. It may sound good to you now, but you’ll be a footsoldier in the mud and not a general in the great tent.

But I apologize. This is me, a man, trying to understand how it feels to be a woman today. But the draft wasn’t the same, was it? Sure, we could die. We, too, could be physically violated and be helpless to prevent it. But the intimacy of women’s subjugation, its linkage to the physical human core … that, I can’t picture. I can only empathize. And support. And fight.

The Greek poet CP Cavafy’s best-known work is “Waiting for the Barbarians,” which describes a nation-state paralyzed into inaction by the anticipation of an invading horde. That, to me, describes the mainstream politicians who have watched the rise in Republican barbarity, their wholesale attack on democratic process and their hijacking of the judiciary, and done nothing about it.

Why isn’t anything happening in the senate?

Why do the senators sit there without legislating?

Because the barbarians are coming today.

What laws can the senators make now?

Once the barbarians are here, they’ll do the legislating.

Lofty sentences about political norms and senatorial decorum are the hollow talk of hollow figures in marble hallways, living statues waiting for the barbarians. They don’t act because they have chosen to become symbols, not living actors in a flesh-and-blood drama. And they don’t act, perhaps, because they can’t believe it’s really happening. Like the protagonist in another Cavafy poem, they paid no attention as walls were built to enclose and entomb them.

With no consideration, no pity, no shame,

they have built walls around me, thick and high …

I had so much to do outside.

The draft system was much easier to escape if you were rich or middle class, if you were white. There were doctors to certify you unfit. If that form of exemption became more difficult, your parents could always send you to Canada. People of color and the poor got the worst of it. They get the worst of it now. They’re far more likely to serve in the military, often because they have no other economic alternatives. There they must contend with danger, senior-level incompetence, suicide epidemics, and the abuse of their addicted comrades.

People of color and the poor will get the worst of this New Old Order, too, as disadvantaged women find themselves unable to afford the interstate travel that bodily autonomy will soon require. That will displease the Big Tech branch of the ruling elite, which has long been concerned with the problem of excess population. As I once wrote of Tyler Cowen, a favored economist of that set:

Cowen promotes his idea of the “hyper-meritocracy” in “Average Is Over.” The brilliant and self-motivated (as he sees them) will become wealthier and more powerful than ever, while the rest of society (which Cowen pegs at 85 percent of the population) becomes a permanent underclass, dwelling in shantytowns and struggling to survive.

With Roe v Wade gone, make that 95 percent. The tech tycoons may moan, but they’ll go along with it in the end. Barbarians use social media, too.

One of the most striking things about the Alito draft is its rage. These judicial moles have watched, and waited, and bided their time, pretending to be sober jurists until their moment came around. Now, the fury is unleashed. Chief Justice Roberts may tone down the language, but the lurking creature has growled deep down in its throat.

When they were building the walls, how could I not have noticed!

But I never heard the builders, not a sound.

Only one in four Americans wants the Court to overturn Roe v Wade. There are nationwide demonstrations against it. They’re doing it anyway.

The Democrats in Washington – somebody – should be demanding that the courts be taken back from the antidemocratic minority. This is the battle we should be fighting. This is the line that should be drawn. Too many of them, however, seem to have another plan in mind. It’s the same one they’ve been following for years, and it goes like this: Why legislate? Once the barbarians are here, they’ll do the legislating.

Night has fallen. The walls have been built. They’re here.

My additional comments. The two presidents who did not get the popular vote, yet had a hand in creating this SCOTUS today, had it been the “men of the new old order,” based on many, many years ago, would have had to stand on the front lines in front of troops in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other areas of the world. Think about that. The leader led the troops into battle at one time. LBJ of Texas, without even being elected president because of being next in line when JFK was murdered, should have been at the front lines of the troops in Vietnam. None of them were.

Same Pandemic, Worlds Apart (2/6/2022)

Yesterday’s front page headline began with: “Worlds Apart.” The information provided was about the Pandemic. The “worlds apart” was defined only by New York and Florida.

Gannett Pravda did a lousy job. A number of weeks ago, The New York Times did a much better job at providing the details about “worlds apart.”

The line graph on the front page did demonstrate that the deaths in Florida surpassed those in New York in about the 3rd quarter of 2021 and continues to be ahead of New York right down to 1st quarter 2022.

If one examines this line graph and superimposes the leadership of the USA over the graph, one will see that the rise at the beginning of 2021 began to level off in New York and remains flatter up to today. In contrast, Florida’s death rate surged under DeSantis from second quarter 2021 and has only begun to flatten in the third quarter 2021, as it surpassed the death rate in New York.

Furthermore, the surge New York experienced was first to second quarter 2020. New York suffered with the most numbers of COIVD-19 at that time while Florida did not even have as much from those coming in. After all, New York City is a larger transportation hub from around the world than Miami or Orlando. Add to New York, Amtrak trains which connect with Canada (Montreal) and the Buffalo airport on the border with Canada.  This new virus was not known and many people, like Governor Cuomo, attempted to meet the demand it brought on and did so with little knowledge about it. Florida’s DeSantis did not have to reckon with that. Yet, Trump and DeSantis remain a favorite, in spite of the sexual harassment of Trump. Where is Cuomo?  In spite of the heavy corrupt, unethical, immoral, human injustice (bigotry) practices of DeSantis, DeSantis is still there and Cuomo is not.  Give me a break.

Furthermore, at the early stages of the virus, as New York suffered the most, Trump did nothing to help the northeastern states with the equipment to do so. Trump had, at his disposal, the Defense Protection Act. It is a war, not a political battle. Trump and lousy DeSantis treated it all as politics. Again. It was and IS a war.  So, when hospitals moved COVID-19 patients across state lines and put them in nursing homes, the stupidity of the population did not blame Trump who was responsible for cross-border transport, but directed at Cuomo, the governor of Michigan (Democrat), the governor of Oregon (Democrat), etc. All about GODDAMN politics and nothing else.  Why? To destroy democracy and implement an autocracy, on the part of Trump. Goddamn TRUMP and the Republicans, not the Democrats, you iddiotic lainbrains out there.

The New York Times detailed article had a map of the USA and its 50 states. The writer compared facts and statistics regarding vaccination, masking, and other modes to help win the war against a virus. In other worrds, one could consider that in the third quarter or so of 2021, a Democratic Party governor in Oregon presided over over a mask mandate and did so before New York re-implemented the mask mandate. Florida never implemented a mask mandate. In fact, DeSantis acted like a dictator being vicious against those who DID wish to wear masks and the companies and organizations which wished to insist employees wear the masks.  All of this, by dictator DeSantis and dictator Trump needs to be considered. I see little of it being discussed openly and that is a disgusting thing which is happening in journalism today.

Furthermore, some nations about the size of New York, Florida, and other states in the USA, there is no comparison. A CBS report mentioned Japan and how it’s vaccination rate helped give it the lowest COVID-19 positivity rate. Many other reports about Israel, South Korea, Taiwan, New Zealand confirmed some of this. The one shortfall in the USA was the lack of contact tracing. Yet, when Biden, the CDC, and Democrats proposed that we increase contact testing, the voices of idiots in the USA spoke loudly with the microphone they were given and it was not done to the degree it should have ben done. When we are fighting a war, we can set aside the “voice of people who don’t know one Godman thing about the issue” and do it.  We did when fighting World War I and World War II. Some of it was not good (i.e., bigots and discrimination against black folks, Japanese-Americans, and the LGBTQ+.  As with the state of Israel and its ability to be an example for fighting war on a virus, Israel’s military has defeated their enemies and have not implemented DADT in the military and used females in its military. Goddamn the white supremacists and bigots against gay folks for insisting it is “patriotic” to have segregation and DADT. Goddamn them. Goddamn them with plenty of damnation for they have no sense of humanity and human justice.

These idiots who push for a military-industrial complex based on a love of money, created perpetual war with a military-industrial complex, warned by former General Eisenhower that we SHOULD NOT DO, and wonder why we have a problem in drafting soldiers, so we create a professional military to defend oil and other issues, not to protect the USA and its human beings, when it becomes necessary to do so.  In the process, we have dictatorial assholes like Trump and the Republican leadership, now have a problem calling the bluff of Goddamn Putin and Russia, and take Putin’s position regarding bigotry towards the LGBTQ+.

This is stupid, stupid, stupid.  It  does NOT reflect my idea of what it means to be a PATRIOT.  Go to hell in trying to force the ideas about bigotry towards groups o fpeople in the USA and shoving it down the throats of many of us who object to this and giver a PROACTIVE warning because a reactionary action will do little good and brings hell on earth.   idea on me. But perhaps to do so, you will support Trump, DeSantis, Scott, Gaetz, Marjorie the bitch, and others.   In this case, you are a traitor in support of Putin.

It’s the pandemic, stupid. Learn from the past pandemics and the errors made in first dealing with this one. Stop making claims that if we DON’T fight the war, then humans in America can succeed better than SHOULD we fight the war on a virus.  I can once again, mention what Kierkegaard said about moving forward by learning from the past, but not to just do what was done in the past. But it evidently does no good to say this, does it?

Daily News: MAGA My Way

Make America great again. Not like big fat piggish ways of Donald Trump fascists with love of money 1st.MAGA my way.

Perhaps Clarification Necessary, From Historical Evidence, too?

Dear Fellow Community Members:

A very good letter to the editor appeared in the Feb. 2 edition of The Times-Tribune of Scranton, PA. From Richard London of State College, who writes, “Socialism bluster ignores reality.” London touches on the “knee-jerk reactions” of Republicans who are always clamoring for a fight with Democrats (as I interpret this; you can interpret it as you like). I have viewed this contentious attitude from Republicans since I was a Republican myself and EXPECTED to be contentious with all Democrats. I kid you not. I remained with that party in Florida for many years and am sad I did.

What my partner and I have observed is this. There is no goal of Republicans to solve the problems of this nation, but just act like dictators and force everyone to go along with their desires. It began under Reagan and we viewed it during those years. My partner and I did not actually meet until 2005, but when we compared notes, it was astounding as to how our notes matched each other. I can say the same thing about his now-deceased brother who had been a Republican for many years.

it is unbelievable to be in “Yankee-land” and have difficulty in finding people who are on the same page as we have been since coming together in 2005. This letter to the editor is one of the first we have read which demonstrates being on the “same page” with someone up north. Sad to see that this does NOT come from the Gannett Pravda of Binghamton which has condensed the size of its newspaper, reduced the information it once provided, and evidently does not provide information for those of us on this same page. We really dislike Gannett as it also took over the newspaper where my partner worked for some 33 years as a copy editor. That newspaper in Palm Beach County did the same thing – condensing the information to nothing and then claiming, “no one reads newspapers.”  Of course they don’t when the saboteurs at the top reduces them to nothing. Perhaps that also explains why it is so damn difficult to find people here in the Southern Tier who are on the same page? Just a conjecture on my part.

In light of what I just said, let me share that letter by Richard London (perhaps a professor? I have no idea, but his address is State College, PA).

Socialism bluster ignores reality

Richard London

State College, PA

The Times-Tribune (Scranton, PA), 2 Feb. 2022

Editor: An accusation that Republicans love to hurl at Democrats is that they are “socialists.”

Do Republicans understand what American socialism, also called “democratic socialism,” really is? Do they confuse it with Soviet socialism, from the old U.S.S.R. days, or modern socialism in authoritarian places such as North Korea or Venezuela?

Socialism, or socialization, is any structure in which a governmental agency – federal, state or local – collects funds from the general public via taxes, and uses the money to provide a service back to the population at little, or no, cost. The arrangement has been authorized by the people, though their representatives; hence democratic socialism.

Everyday examples of socialism include public schools and highways (state level), Social Security and Medicare (federal level), and public libraries (local level). Nearly all Republicans embrace and enjoy these benefits provided by the socialization mechanism, but many of them decry socialism in general.

Maybe it’s a knee-jerk reaction to Democratic social issue proposals. Maybe Republicans just don’t understand the term. Maybe they understand, but want to turn public opinion against proposals by using a loaded term from the past.

The difference between Republicans and progressives is not that progressives accept socialization and the Republicans reject it, since both clearly accept it. Both are willing to use the mechanism for examples such as education, highways and libraries, and even for retirement and health insurance plans (at least for the elderly); progressives want to use it for additional things to benefit the public.

There are some parts of this letter, I wish to place add-ons, but will not go to long length to do so. Being that i spent 40+ years in education and as a librarian, I feel there is one thing I wish to add regarding the statements about libraries being part of the “socialization.” The public library here in Newark Valley exists due to an endowment more than 100 years ago from two Republican families here in Newark Valley. I am told that it is able to run by means of dividends from that endowment. I speak of the Tappan-Spaulding Memorial Library in Newark Valley. The Tappan family, especially, was once a big family here in Newark Valley. Republicans, for sure.

I mention this because of the “bluster” surrounding socialism. This library was never one of socialism, but one of capitalist investment and return on investment, by way of dividends earned.

With this being said, Mr. London’s comments about Social Security and Medicare can be challenged as NOT necessarily being socialism. That is where people today, I believe, are confused as to what socialism AND capitalism are about. The aristocracy of the 19th Century grabbed hold of the ideas of capitalism and spun those ideas around so as to benefit the aristocracy and supply side economics. Teddy Roosevelt, a Republican “progressive” tried to spin the thoughts of capitalism to those of REGULATED capitalism. Remember TR was called the “trust buster?” Remember that Thomas J. Watson was nearly arrested, before founding IBM, for working at NCR and working to do a Trump-type of thing; “destroy the competition.” Regulations almost sent Watson to jail. He reformed when he created IBM and there are many who can be thankful for that. It was those idiots who took over the corporation after Watson who sent it reeling to North Carolina and Texas.

Social Security and Medicare have received funds, just like a CAPITALIST endowment, from the common folks like you and me. The “bluster” over socialism, in my humble opinion, has totally destroyed the ideas of endowments, dividends, and return on investments. Thus, we have Trump and Republicans working to destroy Social Security and Medicare, in the name of anti-socialism which is described by Mr. London in his letter.

It is damn difficult to find anyone on the same page I am with regard to the practicality and REALITY of capitalist considerations of Social Security and Medicare. I’ll be damned if I can find anyone who does not conform to the false notions of Karl Marx which blames capitalism. Karl Marx SHOULD have blamed the aristocracy of the day and its grip on promoting supply side economics which they called, “capitalism.” The stupidity of some economists of the 1970s and then Reagan in 1980 brought back this notion about supply side economics and today, we are falsely giving accusation to Social Security and Medicare as being socialism when, in reality… (REALITY is a word in the title of Mr. London’s letter to the editor), the money we all put into those government programs gets stolen from us, by both Democrats and Republicans alike, to use for government programs (like war and a war on drugs for the sake of drug lords which apparently now focus on the locality near the old IBM on Washington Avenue, Endicott) where they should not be used. We common folk forfeit the ability to gain dividends from our CAPITALIST investments, due to this false talk about it all.

I know everyone wishes I do not make the article so lengthy. But let me tell you about how my lack of length and detail and no one understood my writings about the Ozempic med saved in a refrigerator for three months, rather than one month. Until I went into detail with a comparison of Ozempic in a refrigerator to milk in a refrigerator over three months, no one even tried to consider what I was saying and THINK, as Thomas J. Watson suggested IBM employees do.  THINK is for the sake of common folk, Middle Class, and democracy. Republicans today don’t want THINK, so they work to destroy public education, while Democrats sit around like a bunch of wimps and let the Republicans do what they want. That is REALITY, as pointed out by Mr. London of State College, PA. That is the reality to which I address.

In college at SUNY Potsdam History program (I minored in history, behind my major of music education), I was introduced to books by Dr. Daniel Boorstin. Dr. Boorstin eventually became the only decent part of Ronald Reagan of the 1980s. Boorstin was appointed as Librarian of Congress (after I earned my Masters of Library Science from Syracuse University). Dr. Boorstin’s book series is titled, The American Experience. Each book was about some different aspect. The Explorers. The Colonials. The one we read was about the American DEMOCRATIC experience, but I have purchased and partially read the others in the series. They are very interesting.

I am going into this detail as background for what I am about to say. Boorstin’s democratic experience includes a chapter about the first insurance commissioner in Yankee-land Massachusetts, Erasmus Wright. What does he have to do with what I am saying here? Because in the 19th Century, Erasmus Wright took on big insurance of his day who were run by criminals who took people’s money for life insurance but rarely had the money left over to pay when the people died. To me, this is no different than big homeowners insurance (especially in Florida) taking our money and never considering the capitalist investment and the dividends available when the money is not used. Instead, we always end up with a zero return on investment. Same thing with life insurance when Erasmus Wright of Massachusetts took it on. Same thing, too, with employer-provided health insurance for 40 years, many times with money contributed by ME, the EMPLOYEE, and nothing in funds to collect dividends. I am angered by Blue Cross & Blue Shield for the money I contributed over 25 years as a college professor and now being told by Medicare Blue Cross Blue Shield (Excellus) that “they cannot pay for pre-existing conditions;” while I pay premiums for six months.  UHC of AARP says the same thing, while I paid membership dues to AARP for some 20 years or so. That endowment with dividends works for the local library. But lawyers and accountants with their big fat wallets, make rules against the thinking about endowments into insurance for us little folks who pay all the taxes. I don’t recall the name of the health insurance coverage I had prior to 1995 when I began working for the college, but there is an investment there, too. Add to that privatized insurance what I have paid into Medicare and Social Security (FICA) over 40 years total and I should have enough of dividends to help pay for my health care and retirement.

But the norm is to only do this with big fat pigs of corporations, but not for the common folk. And then have to listen to the “bluster” about socialism which “ignores reality.” I write and write and write and write and write about these things and neither Democrats or Republicans pick up on it. I would expect that of lousy fascist Republican leaders who defend the fat pigs, but what about the Democrats? Nothing but wimps who are afraid of being blasted by false “bluster of socialism?” It is sickening.

No wonder a friend and colleague (professor) had to talk me out of leaving this nation back in 2016 when lousy Trump was elected, so I could live in New Zealand, Australia, Canada, or even Scotland. This friend said, “we need people like you who are willing to stand up against what is going on.” Here I am. All alone.

But then again, I cannot collect ANY Medicare in any of those nations, thanks to the bullshit of Republican fascist control. So why bother? The only options? Live in the mountains of Mexico and Central America where I have to live in heat and humidity, which I really is lousy for me.Should I have the dividends earned for Medicare, FICA, and PRIVATIZED insurance, over many years, I might have a chance of living in those other nations.

I might add that it was a Democrat who put that homeowners’ insurance crap in place in Florida. Shame on him. But then again. What the hell did Jeb Bush, Rick the Prick, or DeSantis do to reform it from that? Nothing. Yet, some miserable SOB in Pennsylvania will attack our Democratic Party governor in NY for trying to find a solution to the gun problem by way of “bail reform.” Why? Because those idiots in Florida have more interest in the wealthy fat pigs than they do about the impact of insurance criminals on common folk. DeSantis puts in place stupid ignorant rules to put down the teaching of history regarding slavery and sexual identity in the schools. No. He does not do something to actually help the common folk, only for the damn fundagelical Southern Baptists of the Baptist Conservative Network and other ultra right wing religious bastards. But for insurance? What does DeSantis, Rick the Prick or Jeb Bush do about that? Not one damn thing, as they gerrymander the state in order to maintain a one-party legislature and governorship (with TERM LIMITS, too), which were CREATED by gerrymandering for the sake of central Florida white supremacists.

I am obviously very angry about these situations and become angry at anyone who supports these damn Republican fascists.  So I write. And I write. And I write. And I write. Someone pay attention and stop leaving me all alone and not seeking the same page with me (common ground); or perhaps HIDING what they truly believe, especially if they are not impacted by racial or sexual identity issues.
