The intent of this blog is to promote human equality, human progress, human peace and justice, and optimism. To accomplish this, to encourage the discussion of ideas after identifying and discovering problems, and then creating positive solutions for "we the people," in order to provide for the "general welfare" and "domestic tranquility" of America now and its "posterity" into the future. To encourage an emphasis on separation of religion and state for all, no matter if this is for those "of faith" in a Maker / Creator (Deists, God-loving people, Christians, various people of spirituality) and atheists or agnostics.

What is Fascism and How to Identify Fascists/

First of all, let me explain my background knowledge. I was trained to lead democratic groups based on Roberts’ Rules of Order for Parliamentary Procedure. Compromise and consensus were two very important words I learned. A leader does not control by trying to control others with his/her opinions and force those opinions upon others. Democracy is about discussion and coming to consensus by means of compromise, if necessary. If you don’t like this description of democracy, then leave this nation and find one that does and see that you do not befall execution or genocide. My heart would bleed for such lainbrains, then. But then, I am NOT a bleeding heart. I rely on learning from history, not re-living history or repeating history. My heart aligns with other human beings of all kinds so we can ALL achieve success and satisfaction in life, even if it means we do NOT always have our way in a minor way, but are not forced to do what we don’t like.

Fascists are those who wish to control what other human, beings eat, drink, have sex, so as NOT to be merry.

Have I said enough to make my point? I could go on and provide a never-ending list. Have I made my point? Or are you too stupid to humble yourself and learn? Shame on you. Everybody is ignorant, but no one has to remain ignorant and if they do, they become stupid.

Replace Hate with Love (Agape)

I am getting fed up with the hatred I hear. The Greek word for unconditional love is agape. This is how our world should be. Perhaps I am an idealist and people will say, “that will never happen.” If we don’t all keep this in mind, then of course it will never happen. If people even SAY, “it will never happen,” it becomes a self-fulfilling prophesy. Let us stop the BS of self-fulfilling hate prophesies.

I wrote about my disgust with Governor Abbott of Texas when it came to his hateful diatribe about LGBT+. I hold true to that. I also wrote about my disgust with Abbott’s hateful expressions about a Muslim civil rights group. The idiot described the group as being a “terrorist” organization. Abbott’s words are those of a stupid idiotic bastard, what else can I say about a hateful person? A bastard. A SOB. He and other hateful Americans can take their hate and shove it up where the sun don’t shine.

Today, sitting in a waiting room, a person approached the receptionist. He made a comment about how “he does not like New York City.” He then looked my way. I wondered, why someone would look my way and say how they don’t like New York City. My dad did not care about New York City. But he would NEVER go up to another person and start a conversation with, “I hate New York City.” My dad taught me to find the good in things. The”silver lining in the cloud” should be identified. Maybe my dad did not like New York City, but he took our family to Radio City Music Hall and Broadway (and off-Broadway) shows. One time, as a kid, we took a vacation to New York City and stayed at a high rise hotel. Were the costs high? You bet. And my dad would talk about how high the costs were.

So, why is this guy looking my way when he merely says, “I hate New York City.” No examples. Nothing.

Here is what I bet the reason is he looked my way. Because I wrote about my disdain for the governor of Texas who called Muslims “terrorists.” He slandered a whole group of people. Would he do the same to Christian Nationalists and MAGA maggots who speak out against the LGBT+? I doubt it.

Then I thought about this. My gosh! I must be popular! People are reading what I write! WOW! That would be great, except for one thing. Today’s generation of Baby Boomers and younger are stupid dolts who want to win with their opinions about having hate for groups of people, from white folk who hate black folk to those who hate LGBT+ to those who hate Muslims, Jews, Hindus, or also hate immigrants. These Baby Boomer dolts with the mind of Machiavelli and hate think that because sports are so popular, EVERYONE in society is after the ability to win, win, win, no matter what – and win with one’s opinion. Humbling oneself to LEARN and find out their opinion MIGHT BE WRONG, just does not settle with these dolts very well.

There is a problem, though. There are too many of such dolts. Probably half the population. They are emboldened by the Man-baby regime (which needs to be destroyed) so they have loudmouths who can feel comfortable about expressing their hatred at any time and with no introduction which might lead them into such drivel. Meanwhile the other half of the population runs on fear and intimidation which silences them. I am involved with that other 50% and I am not afraid to shut my mouth to this human indecency of hate talk.

The first amendment does not protect hate talk. It does not protect lies. It does not protect slander because slander is based on false information which emanates from hearsay and gossip. It is about time our judicial system supported this notion because the very idea I address here is about civility and a CIVILIZED society, not a barbaric one as bad as the former Soviet Union, German Nazi nation, Mussolini, Nipponese Hirohito crap (with genocide of the Chinese) or back to the very barbaric Roman Empire. A civilized society creates a COMMUNITY FAMILY of people who have unconditional love (agape) for each other. Thus, we all have the opportunity to be elevated to success in life. Is it not success what we wish to attain? Is it not building confidence in self so as to attain success and achievement? If you think not, then your brain needs to go where the sun don’t shine because you are a stinking idiot of a human being. As a Christian, I am not supposed to have hate for you and certainly I do not. I have a hate of hate. Period. I have a love of all human beings.

Precious Memories of Lawrence Welk & Company

Tonight, once again, the Lawrence Welk Precious Memories program was broadcast by Binghamton’s PBS channel, WSKG. It brings back precious memories to me. We should be thankful for such programs, in spite of the cuts in revenue by the Man-baby and stupid fascist Republicans in their cuts to PBS.

The hymns sung on this program brought back precious memories of the last days my Grandma Mary (Albro) Cornwell living at our home at 26 Main Street in the valley. Grandma Cornwell had survived a heart attack and was living with us. At age seven, I would sit with my grandmother as she listened to hymns being sung by Tennessee Ernie Ford. “The Rugged Cross.” “Amazing Grace.” Many others.

The one most remembered was the Church in the Wildwood. It was a brown church. But because we attended the white church next door to our home, I always changed the word in the hymn from brown to white. It was simply because it was a wooden church painted white, not brown. That’s all.

Such programs as Lawrence Welk programs may be of interest to only a minority of people in the media market, but we are important. We in the minority pay for sports, religious programs, and, as with Dish Network, porn. We pay for many programs and have to endure the lousy stupid productions and stupid commercials which are nothing but farsical at most. We in this minority can only ask that we be respected for the low cost programming we enjoy more with PBS. Programs like Lawrence Welk and culture – so forth. If you are unable to give us R-E-S-P-E-C-T, then all I can say is that I hope you can fall flat on your faces.

Neither democracy nor capitalism are about serving a simple majority of people. It is about serving all the people.

My criticism is not about whining. It is about stopping the movement to remove from the minority what we in the minority enjoy. After all, without watching any sports, we still pay for those million-dollar salaries of overpaid athletes. We need to have some of that money back in the form of government funding of PBS, NPR, and APM. Precious moments means many things to many people. The first NFL super bowl might be a precious memory to some. Or the Amazing Mets of 1969 might be a precious memory to some. But for many of us, we have precious memories in media programs like Lawrence Welk or Ed Sullivan or Kristen Chenowith or Renee Fleming or. Perry Mason or MASH or .. others. We are paying for a lot of shit on television which apparently is enjoyed by the “in” crowd for which we are not in that “in” crowd. When we say”life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness for all,” we mean it. It is not “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness for the large majority in the ‘in’ crowd.”

Consider this. If you say, “nobody listens to Lawrence Welk,” then you are low-life scum because there are many of us who are “nobody.” We can have R-E-S-P-E-C-T for what you enjoy. Now. Have R-E-S-P-E-C-T for the rest of us who are the “nobody” in the world. Otherwise, your words become lies told over and over again to such an extent that it becomes the truth – the truth for those in the “in” crowd who don’t give one damn about those NOT in the “in” crowd. You lack so much confidence that you resort to lying in order to force everyone to believe and enjoy what you do.

What I say is about how to maintain a civilized democratic capitalist society with balance, not a barbaric one like that of the Roman Empire where they got their jollies from watching gladiators kill one another or Christians being killed by lions in an arena or… All as a spectacle in their lives. Barbarism is sick. The entire set of ideas in which our Almighty God wanted us to follow was to love one another. Period. No if, ands, or buts about it.

For me and many others, we learned that principle from the example and Gospel of Jesus Christ. But other religions do teach love for one another. Those precious memories come from family and the religious organization which taught me such principles. Sadly, such teaching has been eliminated today and that needs to be changed. We don’t need to become “churchy” people again. We need to come together to encourage one another to have a love for a deist or god of the universe because that deist or god loves the human race made in the image of such a deist for the purpose of having a civilized human race which loves one another. We can do this in different ways and do not have to fall back on the methods used in the past. By coming together we teach one another and the younger ones the importance of love for one another.

Give me an America where I am able to pursue “life, liberty, and happiness” without conforming to the ways of religious fascists.  Don’t define my happiness for me.  My happiness is the same happiness which defines the five nations with the happiest people on earth.
