The intent of this blog is to promote human equality, human progress, human peace and justice, and optimism. To accomplish this, to encourage the discussion of ideas after identifying and discovering problems, and then creating positive solutions for "we the people," in order to provide for the "general welfare" and "domestic tranquility" of America now and its "posterity" into the future. To encourage an emphasis on separation of religion and state for all, no matter if this is for those "of faith" in a Maker / Creator (Deists, God-loving people, Christians, various people of spirituality) and atheists or agnostics.

Sadness Rates in the World (and America)

Inbox

Dear Editors:

I have read David Brooks columns for many years.  I have listened to David Brooks commentary Friday evenings on PBS.  Many times I see eye to eye with Brooks’s somewhat more conservative ideas.  Many times I don’t see eye to eye with Brooks.  That is what America is about.  Considering commentary (sometimes opinion, too), learning and gaining wisdom, and synthesizing into our own thoughts.

There is no way we can always see eye to eye with a person 100% of the time.  Whether that person is our spouse or just a friend or acquaintance, we can never be in agreement 100% of the time.  That is the way things should be, but they are not, as fascist Republicans use scare tactics to mesmerize the minds with opioid treatment.

With this being said (and extending my message with more words), I now must comment about the commentary, with facts, presented by Mr. Brooks on 2 Nov. 2022.  His facts are about a “grim tide of sadness” in the world.  He uses facts to demonstrate that the lower portion of society are in the lower sector of society who have seen an increase in sadness. At the same time, those in the upper classes (I shall call the oligarchy) have seen an increase in happiness.  In other words, at the expense of the lower classes of people, the upper classes are happier.  The lower classes are not as happy.  Facts presented as part of his opinion-editorial (op-ed), but I see it more as a commentary with facts, not an opinion.  (The media has caused the problems we have by calling these op-eds).

Mr. Brooks discusses such facts from various Asian nations.  Communist China is one such nation.  The oligarchy in a presumed communist nation (which should NOT have an oligarchy) have experienced this ordeal and an increased wealth among those at the top has been revealed.

This sounds like what has been happening in a presumed capitalist nation like the USA.  Reaganomics and supply-side economics, in my humble opinion (I can provide facts, too), are at fault for this happening in the USA.  A twisted idea of what capitalism truly is, as we think of capitalism as “supply-side economics,” while Adam Smith (18th Century contemporary to our Founding Fathers) defined capitalism as something to challenge the oligarchy of supposed divine-rights kings and feudal landlord nobles and barons with the idea of SUPPLY AND DEMAND.  Balance and not individualism at the top.  In this practice, only government can regulate the balance between supply and demand.  Reagan claimed “government” is a problem, due to such regulation.

Another side to what Mr. Brooks says harks back to my days of learning from a Christian pastor who embraced the ideas of Deist Thomas Jefferson, that ideas from the Hebrew scriptures regarding creationism do not have to be examples of rejection of evolution and survival of the fittest (Darwinism and atheism).  This pastor pointed out that the men who wrote those Hebrew scriptures were merely attempting to come to grips with what God was about in the universe.  That seven days in the lives of men could be millions of years in the eyes of God. We cannot be certain about God because human beings did not have the knowledge of God.

Another aspect I learned from this Christian pastor had to do with Darwinism and atheism.  This pastor represented survival of the fittest as meaning our human species having dominion over animals, but that Jesus Christ came as the WORD OF GOD (John 1:1) to help dispel such ideas by centering on a love of one another, all human beings.

This means that survival of the fittest is not between “chosen people,” as Israelis contend, or between white and black people, or between Latinx and others, or between straight or gay, or between men and women.  It is not a matter of surviving by having control of one human species over another.  Rather it is about all human beings having love for one another and working in community, not as selfish and greedy individuals who berate their fellow human beings.

Examples.  White supremacists think they are better than black folk. I have heard this crap expressed against former President Obama. On the other hand, black folk who proclaim the election of Obama as being a “first.”  White supremacists who have invoked lynch mobs during the era of Jim Crow.  They only accept black folks unless they follow the marching orders of white folk (i.e., Thomas or Walker).  The males reject females when someone like my mother runs in a Republican primary for a political office and many males say, “they don’t want her to be town supervisor because she is a woman.”  The black man who thinks we need to get rid of abortions, for the sake of black folk and no consideration of the entire human race and particular situations where the mother might lose her life (the fetus is more important than the mother, so both must die?) or there is rape or incest involved.    In all of these examples, people have thick skulls and don’t allow the elevator to go all the way to the top.

Thus, we get supply-side economics and the development of only the “me, me, me” individualist greedy attitudes which Mr. Brooks addresses in his own way.  We are living with the lack of love for one another and no care or consideration for one another, due to individualist “survival of the fittest” attitudes.  We don’t think about providing opportunities for all people and many times it’s more about providing handouts instead, although that, too, is objectionable to white supremacists and others.

America HAS been the shining light, compared to Communist China and other sections in the world.  For the sake of “survival of the fittest” of the Chinese people, CBS Sixty Minutes report this past Sunday pointed out that the Communist Chinese version of Tik Tok is very controlled so as to EDUCATE their own people.  But for the rest of the world, they put it out there in an “anything goes” fashion.  It helps the Chinese survive while helping to destroy the education and learning capacities of our Western civilization. The Chinese embrace what Western classical music can do for the brains of people, while our Western people, stupidly, reject it and demonstrate their stupidity and lack of a brain, in the process.

The net result since the Reagan and the birth of supply-side economics, has been  several developments in America.  (1) we want opinions, not facts; (2) we have big fat pig newspaper publishers who reject good journalism, local investigative reporting, local information and commentary, and do everything by sensationalism; we then wonder why “nobody reads newspapers;” (3) Ronald Reagan, Jr., who identifies himself as being an atheist and one has to wonder whether he supports “survival of the fittest” as being between those in the human species, not between humans and animal species – anything goes, but stop two consenting adults from doing what they wish to do; (4) defense of greed, narcissism, love of money, and lack of caring for one another, due to “survival of the fittest;” (5) love of gladiator-type games and being mesmerized by blood and guts and guns splashed on television screens.

In the 1950s, the character, Perry Mason said just the opposite of what publishers say about newspaper journalism and the facts.  Perry Mason:  “I don’t want opinions, I want the evidence.”

In the 1980s, the character, J.B. Fletcher said, “I have a theory [not a conspiracy theory] but I need the evidence and facts.  All opposite of what is being said today throughout our society when invoking greed and narcissism and validating it with “survival of the fittest.”  Then the far left liberals wish to spend all our time protecting the animals with which humans have dominion.  That is fine to have such opposition when humans massacre animals for the sake of greed and selfishness.  But to protect us from losing our own food stocks, such actions by the far left push the envelope too far.  Example.

Killing predators of deer and domestic livestock, we kill off the coyote.  Then the deer populate to such a point that they become a nuisance for drivers and for those who maintain gardens for the sake of human needs for consumption.  When, in actuality, When in actuality, the “survival” factor could be to have donkeys protect the livestock because they are able to stomp on any coyote which come close to the livestock.  Nature working together for the sake of “survival of the fittest” among animal species, but to consider that God does not intend “an eye for an eye” among the human species because Jesus Christ said something contrary to “an eye for an eye….”

Sad to hear the sadness rate increases for “lower class” humans.  This should be stopped. An attitude adjustment contrary to survival of the fittest among the human species needs to occur.  Balance can be accomplished by regulation of business so as to eliminate the creation of monopolies with the use of supply-side economics.   Mr. Brooks only presented the facts, but really did not identify solutions.  Thus, I refer to Mr. Brooks and his facts, but also present ideas for solutions, too.

My writing is not a letter to the editor because it is too lengthy.  My writing is not an op-ed because it is a commentary with solutions. Really.  It is not too lengthy to be an op-ed or a commentary.  Thank you, Mr. Brooks, for the facts included in your commentary.

Do you Think She is Pissed? Read this!

Alan Simpson, the Senator from Wyoming, calls senior citizens the Greediest Generation as he compared “Social Security ” to a Milk Cow with 310 million teats. (Note: Simpson has not been in office since 1997 but I think there are a number of politicians that have the same thoughts.)
Here’s a response in a letter from PATTY MYERS in Montana … I think she is a little ticked off! She also tells it like it is!
 Oh sooo true!

Hey Alan, let’s get a few things straight!!!!!

1. As a career politician, you have been on the public dole (tit)  for FIFTY YEARS.

2. I have been paying Social Security taxes for 48 YEARS (since I was 15 years old. I am now 63).

3. My Social Security payments, and those of millions of other  Americans, were safely tucked away in an interest bearing account for decades until you political pukes decided to raid the account and give OUR money to a bunch of zero losers in return for votes, thus bankrupting the system and turning Social Security into a Ponzi scheme that would make Bernie Madoff proud.

 4. Recently, just like Lucy & Charlie Brown, you and “your ilk” pulled the proverbial football away from millions of American seniors nearing retirement and moved the goalposts for full retirement from age 65 to age, 67. NOW, you and your “shill commission” are proposing to move the goalposts YET AGAIN.

 5. I, and millions of other Americans, have been paying into
Medicare from Day One, and now “you morons” propose to change the rules of the game. Why? Because “you idiots” mismanaged other parts of the economy to such an extent that you need to steal our money from Medicare to pay the bills.
 6. I, and millions of other Americans, have been paying income taxes our entire lives, and now you propose to increase our taxes yet again. Why? Because you“incompetent bastards” spent our money so profligately that you just kept on spending even after you ran out of money. Now, you come to the American taxpayers and say you need more to pay off YOUR debt.

To add insult to injury, you label us “greedy” for calling “bullshit”  to your incompetence. Well, Captain Bullshit, I have a few questions for YOU:

 1. How much money have you earned from the American taxpayers during your pathetic 50-year political career?

 2. At what age did you retire from your pathetic political career, and how much are you receiving in annual retirement benefits from the American taxpayers?

3. How much do you pay for YOUR government provided health insurance?

4. What cuts in YOUR retirement and healthcare benefits are you proposing in your disgusting deficit reduction proposal, or as usual, have you exempted yourself and your political cronies?
It is you, Captain Bullshit, and your political co-conspirators called Congress who are the “greedy” ones. It is you and your fellow nutcase thieves who have bankrupted America and stolen the American dream from millions of loyal, patriotic taxpayers.

And for what? Votes and your job and retirement security at our expense, you lunk-headed, leech.

That’s right, sir. You and yours have bankrupted America for the sole purpose of advancing your pathetic, political careers. You know it, we know it, and you know that we know it.

And you can take that to the bank, you miserable son of a bitch. NO, I did not stutter.
P.S. And stop calling Social Security benefits “entitlements”. WHAT AN INSULT!!!!

I have been paying in to the SS system for 45 years It’s my money-give it back to me the way the system was designed and stop patting yourself on the back like you are being generous by doling out these monthly checks.

I could not have said it better myself!!!

Florida Dixie Republicans Don’t Know Squat about Living a Good Life – Except Their Own Selfish Greedy Ones

The news explains what our society is becoming.  The rich, lazy, selfish, greedy pigs and the rest of us – the slaves.  Patterned after the life of Southern plantations, with the crackers controlling all the resources and the rest can just work and die.  Check out the story about the 21-year-old banking intern who died as a result of this coercive conformity peer-pressuring drive of Republican fatsos imposing hell on earth:

Now check this story out about how the 1-party state – Dixie Republican – are made up of wealthy lazy ones who wish, hope, and pray that working folks just retire and die.  Better yet, they hope we don’t even retire and die BEFORE we retire.  Selfish swine. Check this out:

Alton Brown Encouraging What the Libertarians Wish for: Anarchy

Ah!  Alton Brown.  My favorite personality on the food and cooking channels.  Humor and in-depth science of food is enjoyable, knowledgeable, and just plain fun!  Alas!  Probably does not make enough money!  So…. what do the knothead executive who worship money and Ayn Rand do?  Bank their money on Alton Brown and “Cutthroat Kitchen!”  After all, with senseless, shameful, shallow Americans today, there will be a money-maker!

Knowledge is power.  THAT’S IT!  This senseless drivel on television, then Americans can no longer gain knowledge and wisdom!  And Americans think this entertaining crap is better!   …. BETTER … than the educational value of what Alton Brown was doing before – the SCIENCE behind preparing foods!  That’s right… No value in the “S” part of STEM, is there?  Because the swine at media corporate HQ tell us so!  Mindless entertainment, so we don’t have to think anymore.  But it is also barbaric.

People can make money at violating an item in the 10 Commandments:  Murder.  Contract murder.  How horrible.  But people are so numb that “Cutthroat Kitchen” and sabotage is not even recognizable as a flagrant abuse of at least ONE of the OTHER – perhaps two others – of the 10 Commandments?  Let alone the consideration for the REASONS and PURPOSE behind the 10 Commandments – to avoid those things which can LEAD to murder.  But alas!  Sabotage cannot possibly EVER lead to murder.

Alton Brown:  maybe you will make the money.  But you are doing nothing more than contract murder, as far as I am concerned.  Maybe it is murder in another sense.  But it is murder.  I hope no one will buy it.  But then again, I don’t hold out much hope for what I WISH would happen.

I have lost all respect for Alton Brown.

Selfishness

Here I go again!  Selfishness is one of my biggest pet peeves, so everyone can hear it again.

“I have a RIGHT to my opinion.”  As long as your RIGHT does not reflect your selfishness.  PERIOD.

We all need to take a stand for OURSELVES, defend OURSELVES, and protect OURSELVES.  There is no question.  But we have gone extreme.  Now we have “Stand your ground with guns.”  Extreme selfishness based on false fear, rather than reaching out to our neighbors as Jesus Christ said.  Jesus said, “Do unto others as you would have them do to you.”  Extreme selfishness and insisting on our individual rights to such EXTREMES has caused us to laugh when someone says, “Do unto others before they do unto you.”  What do you accept?  The first words emanating from Jesus Christ or the second words of bestial barbarism based on Ayn Rand’s stupid virtue of selfishness?

Most of my opinions are for the good of the overall society, not necessarily for MY individual good.  I am going to be rather presumptuous when I say, my opinions are worth more.  PERIOD.  Because they consider, “we the people,” not “me, myself, and I – and ONLY me, myself, and I.”  “Me, myself and I” is dead wrong and the case of Zimmerman and Treyvon Martin is proof.  Many are saying this, but the loudmouths who think ONLY of “me, myself, and I” drown out the reasonable, sensible, and rational ones, such as Charles Barkley.

George Bush and President Barack Obama continue to use the word, “democracy,” when dealing with other nations.  Where is the “democracy” in Iraq, Mr. Bush?  Will we see “democracy” in Egypt.  In both cases, the missing element is not democracy, but to establish a lack of selfishness and greed and recognizing secular governments.  Nice thing of Mr. Bush to tear apart a secular government, then leave a vacuum for selfish Muslims in several sects to fight – with SELFISHNESS AND GREED – for POWER AND CONTROL and attempting to negate any efforts of secularism.

In Egypt, the military government there is attempting to keep order with a secular government.

In each of these cases – Iraq and Egypt, were the secular governments really “democracies?”  NO.  They were made up of selfish men, but they were men who were able to keep the peace with some semblance of order – through secularism, which allows all religions to co-exist.

In the case of Iraq, one could argue this notion, due to the treatment of the Kurds.  I suppose everything under the Egyptian secular government was never perfect, either.  The same in America.  Look at how the white man has treated the black, brown, and red men.  Not good at times, for a “secular” government.  Men are not perfect, that’s all I can say.  But to impose theocracies based on one religion is insane.  And that is what the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt had intended to do.  Yes, Muslims are in the majority there.  So all the more reason for these people to grasp President Obama’s notions about “democracy,” right?  That big bad government which wishes to silence selfishness and greed which comes with a majority of the people.  The government is good.  This time around, the protestors are greedy pigs wishing to impose THEIR religion on everyone else in Egypt.  And if the Muslim brotherhood intends to use martyrdom to prove their case, well, they do it to themselves, rather than working to produce a secular government.

The so-called “christian” right-wing nut fascist community in the USA and Western Europe is just as bad.  The inevitability of creating fascist christian theocracies and Muslim theocracies is nothing but insane and leading to the “Armageddon” and “doomsday” these christian jerks keep thrusting upon us, rather than attempting to coexist.

I believe GOD is disgusted with all such people, not with the ones these jerks keep claiming are abrasive to GOD.

“Do not covet [pride, jealousy, envy, materialism].”  “No adultery [broader concept – DECEPTION].”  “No graven image before GOD [worship of money].”  These are what is important, not the greed and selfishness perpetuated by Ayn Rand, the atheist.  She does a great job in dividing the world and bringing on a “doomsday,” does she not?  No where in the Bible does it say human beings should create the environment for a “doomsday,” you nut jerks in both christian and muslim communities.

Even efforts to divide this USA with selfishness within the races, cultures, and ethnic groups of America are doing damage.  Should I stand up and demand a WASP heritage month?  All cultures have their foibles and their honors.  But the point is, this is ONE America with a secular government which has worked for several centuries.  The U.S. Constitution was set up with secularism and balance in mind.  The U.S. Constitution begins with the words, “We the people…”  It does NOT begin with, we the corporate oligarchy… or we the Anglo Americans … or we the Hispanic Americans … or we the African Americans……..   or we the … whatever group…

Let me say it again, plus MORE: “WE THE PEOPLE of the United States of America, in order to form a more PERFECT UNION…”

Shed this world of selfishness, rather than one another, and just see how much better things could be.  But don’t listen to those of us who suggest this and just continue to say, “I have a right to my opinion!”  And watch how bad things will become.

Continue with the more costly law-and-order approach – once guilty always guilty and never implement the words of forgiveness as suggested by Jesus Christ – and we continue on a downward slope which ends in fascism, tyranny and genocide, as with Hitler who forced the morality of a church upon a population.  Love of money drives the people running the jails.  Love of money drives those hardline criminal justice people who lack any sense of humanity.  Therefore the costs to our society are high – in terms of finances, resources, and people.  And I don’t advocate, as many liberals do, to put people in jail with cushy materialistic surroundings, either.  I advocate a FIRM and FAIR rehabilitation system which admonishes those who cling to law-and-order subversive devices of NON-FORGIVENESS which causes recidivism.  Selfishness and greed on the part of law-and-order advocates who sabotage rehabilitation, in the name of power, greed, selfishness – and the loudmouths which cause fear and intimidation in the process, is a lousy sleezey, scumbag way to proceed.  The hardline approach is wrong, just as the selfish ruling class in Haiti and other insane corrupt and selfish countries are wrong.

Coexist is one of the best bumper stickers I have seen because it means we need to shed our selfishness and greed.  When do we begin?

Cutthroat Kitchen

Sad to say, Food Network and Alton Brown have just stooped to low levels of the sewer with the announcement of a program, Cutthroat Kitchen.   This glorifies sabotage and all the other barbaric brainless and shallow libertarian practices which drive society to anarchy and an uncivilized world.  Many of us attempt to keep our society on a trajectory towards a civilized world instead.

Shame on you, Alton Brown, for agreeing to such a scumbag program.  Of course, i suppose such scum will sell well.  So all we are concerned with today is making and worshiping money.  Scum and the dregs of society.  We need to make money, but not do it with such extremes of greed and selfishness.  Go screw, Ayn Rand and all her followers.  Your virtues are lousy and you destroy civilized life on this planet.

Broadcast Media

Rupert Murdock once pronounced free broadcast television and radio as being as good as “dead,” due to cable television.  Did anyone notice the smile on his face?  After all, Murdock makes tons of money from cable television.  That’s money that you and I pay in expensive cable television bills and no choice for lower-cost subsets of cable television channels which would exclude Murdock’s channels and be more palatable to us.  And people complain about the small amounts of tax dollars (in comparison to what I probably pay Murdock) used for PBS and NPR?  Give me a break.

Murdock might as well have been explicit and said, “I intend to destroy free local broadcast television.”  For this is his intent – destroy his competition, as are the secret missions of Wal-Mart, McDonald’s, and other big box retailers.  Don’t compete, but destroy – like a Roman warrior and the Mafia which identifies with the Roman Empire.

So someone says to me, “you have a choice if you don’t like cable television, you can cancel it!”  Oh, I can, can I?  So, my choice is like black and white.  Receive everything or nothing?  I am abrasive to that thought that “I have a choice.”  I don’t have a choice.  And the one choice I do have, the big guys like Murdock wish to eliminate that choice, too!

I don’t have a choice.  Sure, I can turn the channels I don’t enjoy off.  I can even set up my remote to bypass such channels and only move to channels I enjoy.  But I still pay more for the bundled packages than I would if offered a package with a more delightful menu – and paid less.  It is not right for my dollars to go to something I don’t agree – particularly for politics and religion for which I disagree.  I also don’t figure I should pay for the bundling of sports into my packages either.  Give me the ones I DON’T want to receive as “pay as you go.”  I attended Syracuse University football games in Syracuse.  It was pay as you go.  I had a choice to purchase a bundle for season’s tickets or pay as you go.  Even the bundled season’s tickets were “pay as you go” – for one team only.

Sports have become far too commercialized, due to this boondogle called cable television.  And while on this subject, consider how much more of my tax dollars have paid for stadiums than for public broadcasting!  Yet millions of us never watch sports!  Where is the justice in this?  Where are the supposed “choices?”  There are none.

And now Rupert Murdock, with the finger prints of paranoid Tricky Dickey on his actions, wishes to eliminate free local broadcasting.  Better to control the “herds” of animal slaves, don’t you know?  When will we the people stop this jerk and others like him?  We won’t, as long as we continue to dismiss what I say with, “you DO have choices” and brush my main point aside.  I do not have choices when I am precluded from purchasing what is acceptable to me.  That is elimination of a choice.  Preclude me and make me out to be troublemaker and you are all working for big business, not for the people.

Imagine the creation of “family-friendly” cable television packages – just for James Dobson and his looney tune worshipers.  It’s a win-win situation for right and left wing – as well as spreading the wealth, rather than concentrating it in the hands of a few people like Rupert Murdock.  Imagine what I could do with the extra money NOT wasted on cable television shit which I don’t wish to view!  The only ones who lose are greedy selfish monopolists – and I don’t give a damn if they lose.

Update, Nov. 8, 2012

This blog is run by an imperfect human being.  As such, it might not always live up to its purported vision of being “positive.”  Anger and disgust, human emotions, sometimes interfere.  If we could be like Vulcans (fictional alien race in Star Trek), life might actually be boring, would it not?  If I were a Vulcan, this blog would lack any emotions.

However, I advocate against being like the Ferengi (another fictional alien race in Star Trek) who take lessons from Ayn Rand (figuratively, of course).  I find extreme selfishness and greed to be abrasive to the human spirit.  We “hue-maans” detest such extremism. Only “hue-maans” who cling to their barbaric animal roots would relate to the Ferengi and Ayn Rand.  Only anarchists who unwittingly create chaos would seek role models in a fictional alien race and Dagney Taggart, John Galt, and crew.

Should I apologize for this emotionalizing which leads to words like “horse shit” or “bastards” or … the worse possible… “f…”?  Should I apologize for getting in touch with my feminine side – the emotions?  Should I remain completely logical and when I diverge from that course, shut my mouth?  After all, things said in the course of emotion can often be false.  And that is certainly possible with my emotions.  But the difference between me and someone like Allen West is this.  At least I am willing to acknowledge this fact about me.  I don’t allow my ego to create an egomaniac, if at all possible.

A long-lost male relative who suddenly surfaced to the family in the 1980s once told me about his disgust at being FORCED to acknowledge his feminine side.  Oh, really?  FORCED?  By whom?  Who FORCED him to acknowledge his feminine side and is it REALLY that bad to do so?  I don’t recall being FORCED to acknowledge my feminine side.  If I remember correctly, the only coercion I received was from an ex-Marine who jumped down my throat when I once said, “I FEEL….”   “MEN DON’T DO THAT,” this ex-Marine exclaimed.  “Men don’t ‘FEEL!'” … this ex-Marine reiterated!  You know. I did not do as this relative did with his beef and tell people, “I refuse to abide by conformity to the principle that “men don’t feel!”  I just took this advice and tucked it away in my knowledge bank, realizing I need to consider the various ways of thinking about how “men” are!  I don’t need to embrace any ONE way – as fascists would have us do.

We are humans.  We are diverse in our ways.  We are not animals.

Republicans Create Fear, Intimidation, and Divisiveness in Order to Win

Republicans don’t know how to win on the substance of issues.  They lie and deceive.  In Wisconsin’s gubernatorial election, the Republicans convinced a whole bunch of suckers they need not go to the polls, should they have already signed the recall petition.  Imagine the lies these people have up their sleeves – from Rove, Koch brothers, and company.

These greedy selfish Ayn Rand worshipers convince people without jobs that teachers make too much money.  They lie about the true issue in the Chicago teachers’ strike in order to portray teachers as being greedy.  The issue was not a financial one, but there are those who believe it was.  The true greedy ones lie and deceive and then point fingers at innocent people.

Meanwhile, the suckers who believe this deceptive crap from the mouths of Republicans never attack the people who make far more than teachers:  lawyers and, yes, CEOs and other executives.
