The intent of this blog is to promote human equality, human progress, human peace and justice, and optimism. To accomplish this, to encourage the discussion of ideas after identifying and discovering problems, and then creating positive solutions for "we the people," in order to provide for the "general welfare" and "domestic tranquility" of America now and its "posterity" into the future. To encourage an emphasis on separation of religion and state for all, no matter if this is for those "of faith" in a Maker / Creator (Deists, God-loving people, Christians, various people of spirituality) and atheists or agnostics.

The Majority on the SCOTUS are Evil with a Belief in an Evil god

The Majority on the SCOTUS are Evil with a Belief in an Evil god

The SCOTUS has no right to invoke rules from the U.S. Roman Catholic bishops and others in religious groups. All such people have no right to put justices on the SCOTUS by means of corrupt practices of people like Mitch McConnell who delayed an appointment to the SCOTUS so as to put one from his crony unit of Republicans and religious leaders.

By the U.S. Constitution, we have freedom of religion. I have a right to my own religious and spiritual beliefs, but I have no right to force state or Federal governments to place rules upon society which follow their own beliefs.

This is a difficulty because it means that some puritanical groups can put a spin on some issue to favor that group only. “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” This statement is flagrantly abused by the U.S. Roman Catholic bishops. They spin it to include the fetus but not the woman raped and sometimes murdered or losing their own life due to unwanted pregnancy and a fetus. This is mean and vicious on the parts of puritanical assholes in the churches who force their beliefs upon the rest of us.

“Love your neighbor as yourself.” Freaking lousy puritanical Roman Catholics and others are lousy and vicious human beings to turn this towards a “neighbor” being a fetus and more important than living human beings. That is MY belief and the freaking SCOTUS, appointed by freaking lousy corrupt individuals, interfere with MY belief. No lawyers stood up and said this because those assholes are more involved with their GODDAMN personal injury lawsuits than to protect the freedoms of the rest of society.

Furthermore, these asshole religionists treading on the rest of us forget to protect the lives of those who are 18 and older who are sent off to war. That is the worse part of their hypocritical oath to their GODDAMN religion which is not of God, but of an evil god. Inconsistent bastards giving rules to run the lives of the rest of us and our own beliefs. A stupid SCOTUS was paid off to do what they have just done with Roe v. Wade. GODDAMN THEM and the U.S. Roman Catholic bishops, and other puritanical religious groups. They are lousy human beings.

Dealing with Amazon and Other Big Business Today

As was once said, “I am angry as hell and not going to take it anymore.” Who said that? I think I know.

American business, with the exception of a few like Disney, really sucks today. It is being run by greedy selfish money-grabbing money-lovers with no concern or sensitivity for human beings. They don’t know what it means to EARN money “the old-fashioned way,” but know how to take money. They may call themselves “capitalists,” but they are not. They are more like Castro and other communists who confiscated property and jammed broadcast signals from sources they did not want people to hear.

The government, as imperfect as any human institution can be, is not the problem. The fascist oligarchs, trying to grab control of this nation, are the problem. Companies like Disney stand up to the puritanical ones who side, like a bunch of lemmings being led off the cliff, with people like DeSatan of Florida and many others elsewhere, like Abbott of Texas and so forth.

For instance. Gannett and the local Pravda, in line with what is happening to eliminate local news and cultural interests (while sports remains tops), has eliminated a local channel listing in the newspaper. It’s bad enough that it is difficult here in this rural hilly area to have a tough job receiving FREE broadcasts and finding no one willing to be hired to install an antenna for local television. But to pay for local television on Spectrum and have no CAPITALIST COMPETITION at work, is simply bizarre and taking America down the wrong road for the sake of the oligarchs who wish to create a nation of haves and have nots. So, what does one do with the elimination of a local television grid which has always been a part of local newspapers as long as television has been with us? I see an ad that Amazon is selling 6-month TV Guide subscriptions at a low price. So I jump at the chance to have a local television grid which has been lacking since the hedge fund greedy owners of Gannett yanked it away from us several months ago.

Sounds like this should have been great, right? Long story short. Here we are after twice being billed by Amazon and receiving subscription notices from TV Guide, trying to get delivery of TV Guide. We ordered it in May. Still, in June, we don’t have it. We are told it will begin in July. American business once ran much better than this. I got angry at the people at Amazon, after being led around and around and around. It was not just one isolated event in which I felt helpless at getting something done. No. This event is added to a list of events from many different American companies.

The nice thing to report. Amazon offered a high-price for a hardcover book and almost half cost for a Kindle. We tried Kindle and we hated it. We tried Nook and we hated it. For cookbooks and reference books, the Kindle app for desktop comes in handy. But to sit and read a book on Kindle? Don’t be absurd. Besides being visually impaired, the complications we have with technology and the costs to keep it going is out of sight. I would rather pay $6.00 for a gallon of gasoline, then all the bullshit of costs surrounding broadband, cable, streaming, desktop and laptop computers, and other media. Sure. The cost to read this book on Kindle is half the cost of a hardcover book. But when I add all of this stuff up over a year’s time, the amount to pay for several hardcover books and/or borrow from a library, is much less over one years time. Even if we pay $6.00 for the Sunday New York Times (when it ever gets delivered, I don’t know), is far less than the technology shit. The subscriptions (if we could ever get them) are less than spending money on the gasoline to go to the store (not sold in my rural hometown) and the price of the newspaper. If we could ever get the newspaper delivered.

Go to hell big business for dropping this shit in the laps of consumers on the DEMAND SIDE OF CAPITALISM, especially for rural folks. We still don’t have the TV Guide delivered and Amazon customer service would rather be vindictive towards me because of my anger. These folks explain, insincerely, “they are concerned.” Concerned? Then do something and resolve the situation to my satisfaction. NOPE. Not done. Only the supply side of the market is supposed to be satisfied, not the DEMAND side. That is tantamount to fascism, Nazi-ism, and communism. Central control and we all just bow down or else get shot, whether figuratively or truly shot.

Such greedy Americans be damned. That is my hope. They be damned.

Hope

Headlines (6/21/2022): “Abortion foes have hope…”

I am an abortion foe and have hope, but not hope as indicated in the front page article this morning. I have hope for Democratic Party working to reform and that the Republican Party moves to destroy by using corrupt ways for McConnell and others to put a politically motivated Supreme Court in power.  Democrats want reform. Republican leaders want destruction. There are many other examples besides abortion which uphold this statement.

For me, I am against abortion for the purposes of contraception. There are many more proactive ways for contraception. Abortion is right-wing reactionary.  I am proactive for the purpose of helping our society progress, not go backwards. Reform is the answer, not putting a bunch of heathen justices on to do the bidding of SOME abortion foes. They don’t do what I want, as an abortion foe, so as to work to reform the laws.  I am sick and tired of this and only hope that we can put the Republican leadership on an isolated island with no communications, the way the British did to get rid of such people by putting them in penal colonies away from Britian.

This issue is not about politics revolving around Roe v. Wade. It’s about justice, morality, and ethical actions. Sure. Argue that taking the life of a fetus is immoral and unethical. Go ahead. Shoot holes in what I am saying. This is about justice, morality, and ethics. This would include women who get raped. We still go back to the BS of Sodom and Gomorrah (Genesis 19) and Judges 19.  Violent rape is the issue and we have people who FORCE us to live by their age-old wrong bias which has attacked gay people and women who are raped.  The actual LITERAL Bible passages do not indicate such things, but people act as if this is a Holy message against a group of people and ignoring the protection of raped women. Even in cases of date rape this happens. We are scratching our heads whether one of the people on the SCOTUS, put there by political unethical crap from Trump and McConnell, committed but it has been kept covered over.

Then there is the black man on SCOTUS who is married to a white woman who is VERY unethical. Nothing wrong with inter-racial marriage. But this black man, Thomas, is a lousy man on SCOTUS and far from the great black man first appointed to SCOTUS: Thurgood Marshall.  Marshall had an idea of what justice was, even to the point that when he helped an African nation write a constitution, he advised that a constitution covers all people, both black and white. Therefore, Marshall was addressing the white people who lived in that nation.  In this case, it’s about humanity and the overall human race. If Thomas does what I know some black racists want, I find him to be just as despicable as those in the KKK and white supremacist groups.  Such black racists don’t want abortion because it “does not help advance the black race.” Excuse me? How about considering the human race, as Io once said to a black man who gave me this BS.

I am not afraid to be blunt and put things out there as they should be. That, too, is my hope. But I also hope the SCOTUS, with regard to abortion AND reproductive rights of LIVING human beings, are taken into consideration.  I admire the late Justice Thurgood Marshall. I have no respect for SCOTUS justices Clarence Thomas, Brett Kavanaugh, and several of the others who are there only to uphold the political ideals of Trump, McConnell, and the Roman Catholic bishops, who have absolutely no right to tread on our liberties.

What IS on my mind? About healthcare, true patriots, true capitalism, Teddy Roosevelt, and imperfect human organizations, plus…

Here is what is on my mind today. I am as angry as my distant relative, Teddy Roosevelt was back in the early 20th Century when they allowed anger to be expressed without guns and did not give people like TR ritilin. During a time of common sense in America. If TR got reactions of vengeance and vindication like Trump followers do today when receiving criticism, it was likely from super billionaires who falsely called themselves “capitalists” but had no idea what capitalism was intended to be: supply AND demand economics to overturn aristocratic oligarchs and plutocrats. Who were those guys who challenged TR? Carnegie, Rockefeller, J.P. Morgan. Quite possibly the ones behind sending an anarchist to try to kill TR. Why? Because anarchists, like “libertarians” today, want an “anything goes” deregulated environment in order to expand their ruthless ways and call themselves capitalists when they line their pockets by way of monopolies. Monopolies. Feudal lords before Adam Smith defined supply AND demand capitalism ran monopolies and supply side economics only.

So, what do I have to say today? Big fat pharma. Puts out commercials of Ozempic with someone speaking and claiming it lowered A1C from 8.2 to 6.8. That never happened with me with 15 years of taking insulin. Went on Ozempic and finally my numbers did lower, but never below A1C of 7. NEVER. With Ozempic. Big fat monopolist supply-side big pharma charges $1000 for a pen which has helped me a bit, but not like their GODDAMN commercials say.

So. Last night. I took my last dose for the month of Ozempic. This morning, my glucose numbers, after diet, exercise all weekend, were 245. TWO FORTY FIVE. From a medicine Nova Nordisk helps keep glucose down. TWO FORTY FIVE. TWO FORTY FIVE.

So. With a complaint like that, how do people in healthcare react? Doctors and BIG FAT PHARMA? I think they are more prone to vicious vindictiveness about the problem the customer faces, not about SOLVING THE PROBLEM. THERE IS A PROBLEM HERE and I am disgusted at health officials who play the GODDAMN BLAME GAME AND BLAME THE PATIENT. WHY? SO THE DOCTORS CAN CONTINUE TO LINE THEIR POCKETS AND NOT FOLLOW THE HIPPOCRATIC OATH? As the character Hawkeye Pierce on M*A*S*H said about conservative idiotic doctor Frank Burns (another character), “not enough bedside manner” – or Hawkeye would say this in some sarcastic way. We need doctors like Hawkeye Pierce who had concern for the guys being shot up in the war scenes of Korea. Not freaking lousy doctors who like the Trump way or the RICK THE PRICK (supposed founder of HCA) way of “privatized”
medicine, putting money first.

And for others to say, whether we get refused in healthcare or other “business” areas, “it’s not against the law to deny a patient service.” OK. So, you don’t have to tell me that information because I am quite aware of it. Tell me what you intend to do about it? Don’t fill me with the crap of information about “what’s going on.” DO SOMETHING. SHOW THAT YOU ARE DOING SOMETHING ABOUT IT, whether you have money or not. Because I worked with college students in the 1970s to do something when Gov. Hugh Carey wanted to shut down several SUNY colleges, by way of the SUNY SGA and other sources. And we were poor and had no money. If we could do something then, what stops people today? DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS SHIT in which the lack of a mean and angry “trust buster” like Teddy Roosevelt DID SOMETHING to bring down the assholes of his day.

BTW. Teddy Roosevelt is related to me by my maternal line of Dutch people. His cousin, FDR, had a granddaughter who married into my Dutch family. But there are plenty of other examples from the past in which there was inter-marriage with my maternal family. And we had a captain who fought for the PATRIOTS who made sense back in the late 18th Century, in spite of his wealth. He also did not AVOID paying taxes, but put forth extra money to help this government get going. A human institution which gave us many good things, in spite of examples of human imperfections which are part of being HUMAN. I am proud of my Dutch ancestor who did this. But do I face vindication and those who have the name or stand up? So I don’t mention the Dutch name. Shameful as this is. But those PATRIOTS of the 18th Century were far better people than the SHIT thugs of Trump MAGA, Proud Boys, Qanon. They attack our Federal Capitol building.

The PATRIOTS of the 18th Century were AGAINST a dictatorial KING of England, not against Parliament. They did NOT go to Parliament in London to take over the Parliament building, but they sure did try to bring King George down. On the same token, there were many IN ENGLAND who disliked such a dictator. The Parliament DID NOT TREAD ON THE COLONISTS and made attempts to COUNTER the taxes King George insisted on pushing on the colonists. Parliament tried the best they could and succeeded on several fronts, but not all. Fact is. They did not all go along with King George. My ancestral AMERICAN PATRIOTS fought the king, not the Parliament, but were forced into a corner by the dictatorial king.

Ben Franklin knew about TRUE capitalism because he spent time in Scotland with the man who defined capitalism to challenge the crown: Adam Smith. Thomas Jefferson and the other Founding Fathers may not have spent time in Scotland, but did so in other European nations. George F. Johnson, a co-founder of Endicott-Johnson Shoes in the Binghamton area, spoke about being “sensitive” to the community and the people and used words like “industrial democracy.” Thomas J. Watson repented of his following the ways of Carnegie, Rockefeller, and J.P. Morgan and created IBM. Due to Teddy Roosevelts trust busting regulations, Watson, in working for NCR in a role to DESTROY competition (another part of capitalism which is NOT monopoly) came close to a jail sentence. I read where John D. Rockefeller was rejected by his own parents because he was such a greedy ass.

Teddy Roosevelt is one of my heroes. So, with anger, like TR, I use some vile language in what I write. I don’t have the money that TR had, but I am still proud, no matter how much I express anger at what is going on and the lack of people doing something about it. The people at the 1968 political convention were beaten by police there, as they attempted to speak out. BEATEN BY CHICAGO POLICE. I have seen the photos. BEATEN BY THE POLICE for the only means they had was to speak out in anger and NOT CARRY GUNS. I have yet to see the Proud Boys or others associated with Trump Republican’s lousy freaking MAGA get beaten. Not once. Gay people congregating together, and not always for sex, either, were BEATEN BY POLICE while attempting to live in peace with one another. You cannot have peace without justice, so they rose up in protest, WITHOUT GUNS, at the Stonewall Inn.

We are HUMANS, not animals. In fact, good and decent hunters who hunt animals have told me they would NEVER use an automatic weapon. But asses use them to kill human beings.

Many of us can live together in peace, while there are those who DISTURB THE PEACE and face no repercussions. Come on, Biden and the Democrats play hardball with such idiots in America today who call themselves patriots. I am a PATRIOT, but such asses like MAGA and so forth ARE NOT PATRIOTS, but traitors and terrorists.

Meanwhile, if I criticize healthcare, I get vindicated. Perhaps the doctor in Florida who put money first with me thinks I turned him in for not paying taxes? I had no idea. But there were many others who were disgusted at that and could have turned him in. I did not do it. But because I speak out against those who don’t pay taxes, as if they are BETTER THAN ME, makes me a bad guy, according to the idea of groupspeak and going along with the crowd? So, I get angry so therefore I go along with the Trust Buster Teddy Roosevelt and not the crowd with groupspeak being defined by FOX NOISE PROPAGANDA BROADCASTING?

Something is wrong with the meds being prescribed to me. For me, this is a matter of life and death. I get lovers of money throwing shit in my face, rather than assisting me. And if I complain, these younger doctors and healthcare providers just want to be vicious towards me, not accepting anger which develops when the criticism and looking for solutions does not work. We don’t have leaders like TR today because they are all taking ritilin. Instead, we have stupid idiots like Trump, DeSatan (DeSantis of Florida), Rick the Prick Scott (of Florida) and many others who don’t want us to live in peace and justice, but to control us like dictators and tell us how to live our lives. Shallow individuals who are corrupt and get away with far more than any others. And they don’t like criticism, either. They don’t even know what it meant when George F. Johnson described “industrial democracy” and was successful in doing it. Same thing with Thomas J. Watson. Those who took over for the two men were absurd in claiming that such means of operating companies don’t work. That is because they sabotaged such efforts so they would not work. Same thing with privatized healthcare today and the destructive forces from Trump MAGA who want to destroy Obamacare, Medicare, Social Security and public hospitals (among many other things on their lists), putting America into a have and have not situation. The wealthy afford the care and those without wealth who are not able to afford proper healthcare. Screw such false divinity people who act like money is god and those who have the most as gods..

Yes. I am here to complain. You can call it complaining. Or you can call me a critic who wants to make life better for all. I am like the local newspaper restaurant critic who has a desire to make life better for the customers going to restaurants. The best ones were the ones who wrote a good analysis and did not just bloviate the bias they have.

Two newspaper music critics I knew in Florida. One I considered to be an ass and a snot because of being an elitist high-brow SOB. The other one was very fair in judgment, even to be kind to the performers in opera. A specific circumstance was when, at the last minute, the maestro fired the orchestra and those on stage had to do the performance accompanied only by a piano. The pianist was great. An opera without an orchestra? This music critic was kind and concentrated on the good parts of what the singers did on stage. And they were very good. That newspaper music critic was a graduate of Eastman School of Music. The snot was from New York City and felt better than everyone else.

These are my experiences to share with the world. Sad to say, America has become a nation of too many snots with money. I recall a day in America when there was not such a predominance of such people. A complaint is no longer considered constructive criticism, but an attack. The reason this happens is because there are too many younger people taught not to get angry, usually on drugs which keep anger to a minimum, and then lack any confidence. They demonstrate the lack of confidence by being vengeful to those who put forth constructive criticism. Refusal to provide service of any kind? Go to hell with such a notion. Too many Americans need an attitude adjustment and that means Biden and the Democrats need to play hardball because the world is NOT the type of world of decent human beings in politics which may have been more predominant when Biden was in the U.S. Senate. It was not a perfect world then. But it sure has not become closer to perfect today. In fact, the imperfections are more a part of life than before. It’s time we accepted constructive criticism, when people feel helpless and go to anger, and other means for human communication, rather than laughing at someone who learned to promote communication because it was one of the skills required on job listings. Silly me for learning to be like that.

Open Mouth, Insert Foot, Prince “Trump” Machiavelli

Dear Editors:

While the votes were being counted in the U.S. Senate Republican primary race between Dr. Oz and blue-collar McCormick who became successful by working his way to the top, Trump’s endorsed candidate, Dr. Oz and his followers were crying about losing. Trump bloviates that there should be “paper ballots.” His theme is always about fraud in the elections. Then, after the votes were counted, Trump’s candidate won by a slim margin.  Justifies using paper ballots, right?

But wait just one minute. Was it not Trump who, during the 2020 presidential election blasted the use of paper mail-in ballots?  Perhaps I am mistaken about this and Trump’s claim that he would lose by the use of paper ballots? From this perspective, perhaps Trump needs to “eat crow?” Perhaps he needs to “open mouth and insert foot?”

Trump is inconsistent as a drunk driver driving down the road and not remaining consistently within the lane designated for the driver heading in a certain direction. He is as inconsistent as a British person, confused because in America, we drive on the right side of the road, keeps forgetting this and drives in the right lane but then mistakenly drives in the left.

But Trump does not figure he is inconsistent. Why? Because he seeks the type of power and control dictators such as Putin, Stalin, Hitler, Castro, Mussolini, and Tojo, among others, have sought and gained.  Trump wishes to destroy democracy with gerrymandering and blocking changes which could be made to eliminate gerrymandering. Trump realizes he gets support largely from white supremacist racists who wish to return to their version of the “good old days,” when the 2nd Amendment was proposed and supported mainly by plantation owners, white supremacists, and the supremacy over the black folks.  Thus, Trump is a Prince Machiavelli type seeking power and control, with a love of money and materialism, because “the end justifies the means.”  In this case, the Machiavelli types validate the fact that “power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.”

In the 1970s, in the aftermath of Watergate and Nixon with Republican criminals, the conservative character, Arthur, on the sitcom, Maude, reacted in quite a bold way. Maude, played by Bea Arthur, says Arthur is a criminal doing nasty things, indicating that Arthur should be ashamed of himself. Arthur’s reply was to say, “it doesn’t matter because I am a Republican.”

“Many a truth is spoken in jest” (attributed to Chaucer). This is a more important statement than concern over using the “f” word or vulgar language such as the British do with the word “bloody.”

Those who follow the path of Machiavelli should not be allowed to participate in a democracy which they intend to their own hidden agenda to end democracy and use anything at their disposal to do so.  Hitler did it. Carnegie, Rockefeller, J.P. Morgan, “robber barons” and “fat cats” of the late 1800s and early 1900s, followed the same Machiavellian ways. To all of these and others, they don’t give one damn about community, society, and humanity because “the end justifies the means.”  They twist capitalism to their favor with the same type of supply side economics employed before Adam Smith defined a better capitalism.  They don’t care if they need to “open mouth, insert foot.”

Life in America

Dear Editors:

Here we go again. Shooting in Buffalo, NY. Shooting in a Texas school. Everyone has to share their own ideas and what happens? Does anything get solved?

The stupidity of Ted Cruz means he needs to be removed from the U.S. Senate. To claim it is all “politicized” is done for one reason. Make sure everything is done his way. Of course, what ever he believes is “not politicized” from his perspective. Cruz is mentally ill.

When I talk about mental illness, I need to mention Sean Hanity and Tucker Carlson, the Goebbels of today’s world. Tell a lie enough times and it becomes the truth. That is mental illness because mental illness is defined as “doing the same thing over and over again, expecting different results.” Cruz, Trump, Hanity, Carlson are all sicko as they continue to dig in their heels and not take a good hard look at this issue.

If Hanity and Carlson claim that “it’s not guns, but mental illness,” then they lead the charge regarding promotion of mental illness, so someone make sure they don’t get guns. But historical facts speak loudly and have been documented, but no one brings the issue up. The 2nd Amendment was created by plantation owners in out of fear of rebellion from the Africans whom they enslaved.  It has been proven over and over again. The fact that in Buffalo, it was a white racist who opened fire pretty much says it. People like the old plantation owners and the ones supporting gun rights by validating it by way of the 2nd Amendment are the ones who are mentally ill. White supremacists are mentally ill. So these imbeciles attack Democrats and others who are living in fear, not mental illness, from this domestic violence in the USA.   These people grab at gun laws while the white supremacists do everything they can do to speak against them and to sabotage them. Mental illness IS behind them. This is the reason to take the guns away from such white supremacists like the guy from Conklin, NY. But according to the newspaper, there are those who sell illegal automatic weapons from a gun shop in Endicott, NY, to these mentally ill white folks.  Those selling the guns are mentally ill, as they justify selling automatic weapons.  Personally, I feel safer walking the streets of Binghamton, NY, where there are a number of businesses run by black folks, than the main business section of Endicott, NY, where we can find a large number of mentally ill white folks.

There are many hunters with whom I have communicated about this issue. Most of these people with rifles see no need for automatic weapons.  According to the media, the type used in the shooting in Buffalo, NY.  These hunters have a recreational purpose for shooting animals such as deer, using the meat of the deer (venison) to eat.  Mentally ill ones wish to keep very bad weapons on the streets and do so for a purpose:  to kill human beings as easily as possible and in large numbers. In 2012, a man in the Rochester, NY, area was not allowed to carry guns, apparently due to his prison record. So, how did he get one? According to newspapers I read, he got the weapon from someone who bought it for him.  An accomplice. Is this not true? Is anything I am saying not true?  Have I made some kind of mistake in what I say and that is more important than anything else? Then those who dwell on this aspect are mentally ill because they dig in their heels in order to be fans of the NRA.

And then we have others like Wilson, like Cruz, the Republican who lacks any intelligence because he is working from what is considered the lowest level of intelligence when he speaks by giving crazy notions about human beings in which there is no evidence or facts to back up his opinions about a person.  “Wants to put criminals back on the street” is absurd to say about any person, based on the opinion of Wilson with regard to actions being made to try to CURB violence and criminals. The ideas used by one person might go against what Wilson and Cruz want to do, so they use stupidity and lies to soak over people and expecting different results the next time. Oh, but Goebbels said, if the lie is told enough times, it becomes fact.  That, too, is mental illness. I have made this comment many times, including two times in this article.

From this group of fascist right wing who have done more violent activities and damage with weapons in America than the left wing (prove it to me if this statement is wrong), are also the ones who want to tear down Roe v. Wade, Social Security, Obamacare, and Medicare, rather than reform any of these issues, as would be done in a democracy with people trying to solve problems rather than polarize everyone on one side of the political spectrum or the other.  Why do these people want to keep guns and destroy many of the other issues? Because they are white supremacists who are not consistent with their beliefs, as they have a hidden agenda with white supremacy and autocracy.  They are mentally ill because they are paranoid about the day when white folks in America might become a smaller number compared to the “colored” folks.  They can justify the use of guns to kill abortion doctors. How many times have I heard right wing christofascists defending these actions as if they are “pleasing to [a] god” to which they bow down.

This is life in America. Too many Americans are too apathetic because “it does not impact them.” Yes. Why should such people give one damn about what is happening? Just be fearful and paranoid and succumb to the wishes of the christofascists.

Is the Republican Leadership Nothing but a Cover-up for Fascist Racists & Bigots?

I get these messages all the time endorsing Rick Scott and others in the Republican Party. I send them to spam, but our system does no good in protecting us and the messages continue to come.  Cyber attacks continue. Scandals against us continue. Companies just don’t care and push these things back on the consumer and the consumer has no recourse any more, since this nation adopted supply side Reaganomics and looks at the virtues of selfishness and individualism. What are we to do?

The current information is about how Rick Scott and other Republican leaders are pushing to destroy not only Obamacare, but also Social Security and Medicare.  Let me differentiate from the rank-and-file Republicans and say Rick Scott and these other wealthy ones who cater to the wealthy (including Ron DeSantis – or DePutin or DeSatan and Trump) are not Republicans but are Racists and Thugs of bigotry – or RATS.  They work to validate putting the word Republican somewhere between REPTILE and REPUGNANT in the dictionary as the most important distinction.  I have been a Republican and find this position to be the fault of RATS, not Republicans.

Then I speak with common folk who get maneuvered by these RATs and express the ideas these repugnant people are shoving down their throats. “Too many don’t like Medicare…” or “Medicare is socialist,” even after I can prove that private medicine in America has little good capitalist RETURN ON INVESTMENT (ROI). I get ignored.  One can fix and reform Medicare and this healthcare system for all with something other than just taxes and we end up with a better ROI. Canada spends less on health care and their ROI is that people live longer in Canada than they do in America.  That is ROI not socialism.

I have never met a single person among the common folk and following these lies to be anything but the color of WHITE.  None. This is the REAL reason behind opposition to Medicare AND Social Security, as well as Obamacare and people are just taking this aspect for granted.  It is called racism and no interest in human equality of the races.  A white woman has control over a black man who sits on the SCOTUS, so the man is an Uncle Tom.

Human beings of all races, colors, creeds, religious beliefs, and sexual identities need human justice with human equality. Period. It is not a complex issue. Human justice with human equality.  Period.  We can still maintain “minorities,” but thinking like SCOTUS Justice Thurgood Marshall, we maintain a human equality and stop the damn fighting. Give us cradle to grave healthcare. Stop the BS of lawyers who take away finances of the community of common folk, so we can pay for a PROACTIVE (not necessarily always progressive, socialist, or liberal) healthcare system.  Stop the BS in America over these topics and let us all come together to work to reform for the purposes of human equality and justice. For we fought a civil war in the mid-1800s, but there has not been true peace in America without JUSTICE. Peace and justice go hand-in-hand.

When a white man from this area where I live purchases an illegal assault weapon at a shop on Nanticoke Avenue in Endicott, NY (just over the hill from my home here), and drives some four hours to shoot and kill black people at a super market, this tells me there are plenty of white racist bigots who are coming out of the closet.  As some people would say in this area, “the woodchucks are coming out of the woodwork.”  And those common folk who talk down Medicare or Social Security for all are bastards, snots, and lousy human beings.  They support the efforts of RATs to destroy these things and do not even consider or THINK about what they do. THINK. From Thomas J. Watson who founded IBM here (and not far from that gun shop).  Did that man not hire black folks at IBM because he did not wish to provide the wonderful benefits to anyone except white people?  Hmmmm…. Let me THINK on that one.

I support what is truly REPUBLICAN and founded by people like Ezra Cornell of Ithaca, NY, and many others who had brains to be able to THINK and reason about the abolition of slavery and human equality.   I find too much of the Republican leadership to consist of RATs.

Beautiful CBS Channel 12 and Mattar Commercials and We Don’t Get to the Root of our Societal Problems with Lawyers who Think we Do

Mattar puts a commercial on television about being hit by a drunk driver and then going after them. The problem is not solved by avenging what was done.

The problem does not have its roots in alcohol or drugs. The problem is not alcohol consumed by young people, either. The same thing can be said that the problem about domestic terrorists such as the one who shot people in Buffalo last Saturday, is not guns.  None of these problems can be solved by censorship and prohibition. This would include the problem of abortion. These problems stem from a lack of education to teach young people to be responsible and always consider cause and effect in our lives.

Historically, the problem stems from moving to a consideration of community and society to one of individualism and the virtue of selfishness. The love affair America created with the car created much of this individualism and eliminated the existence of public transit. We moved from horse and buggy days to the automobile. We think we need to create automobiles which are “intelligent” as horses were in getting a drunkard back home, “automatically” after imbibing at a pub, tavern, bar, or restaurant.

The problem is the lack of intelligence and reasoning due to individualist thinking of human beings.  Lawyers like Mattar do NOTHING to help solve this problem. They just pit Americans against Americans. This attitude is a polarizing one.  Such lawyers just figure they are doing a service by filing lawsuits against big insurance companies.  Many of us can explain what is TRULY needed for lawsuits against some corporations. Lawyers like Mattar refuse to listen to us.

Yes, Mr. Mattar, it is sad that we have DUI in society. For sure. But I grew up in a dry town in New York state where we witnessed people driving out of town to drink at restaurants, bars, etc. We heard of a man who drove from a wet town back home and did not realize there was a train coming down the tracks he was crossing, so the train hit his car. We learned the man was decapitated in the process. What has been done to end this crap? We had trains for public transit. We had horses and buggies. The automobile and individualist thinking with the love affair for the car is the real problem. Related to lawyers, I spoke with people who revived old passenger trains here in the valley for the purpose of putting dining cars on the trains and selling tickets for dining where someone could ride and receive alcohol while dining and not have to drive a long distance.  Why did this passenger service stop? I was told it was due to lawyers which caused the price of insurance to go too high to make a profit.  Lawyers who could then use the money to pay for commercials like those of William Mattar and others, as they pit Americans against Americans.

P.S. Hopefully, sending this message to the Rachael Ray Show, where I have viewed most of the stupid commercials for Mattar and other lawyers who pit Americans against Americans, I can convey my message to Rachael’s husband, John, who is also a lawyer.

Food Network & a Polarized Shallow Society with Predominance of Competition, Violence, Guns, Rather than Information and Knowledge

Food Network has ruined its morning schedule on Thursdays and Fridays beginning at 8 AM. It’s bad enough they have all the damn infomercials before 8 AM, unlike HGTV which sometimes begins earlier. On Thursday and Friday mornings, Food Network has pre-empted informative programs with competitive s**t of programs, such as Chopped, Worst Cooks. Let the prime time audience see those shows because there are few other choices at that time of the morning. Thanks for continuing with informative programs the early mornings of the other days of the week. How about if Food Network adds to its all-white people programs some informative cooking shows from CLEO and other non-white-people programs? I must say, though, that Molly Yeh with Jewish and Chinese features is great. Delicious Miss Brown (an African-American) on Tuesdays is great. But what about soul foods and other cooking shows? But overall, informative and not competitive “cutthroat” s**t needs to be the word of the day.

Spectrum Streaming buries Create TV deep in the schedule, rather than as part of the local television lineup and the Customer Service validates this with an emphasis on technological handle this to our advantage – a complicated process with “favorites.” This process is not easy to discover and learn. For things like this, with the regular print media and times when we had a stronger local business and news.  Gannett newspaper in this area, a monopoly in the Southern Tier, has eliminated local columnists and local news and reporting.  The newspaper has been condensed by eliminating many things. The elimination includes local arts and music critics, food critics, restaurant critics, or other types of columns.  Instead, it is limited ONLY to political analysis at the national level and little or no local political analysis. And if it is political analysis, the fat pigs purchasing the newspapers often put bias according to one side of the political spectrum or another.

Gannett, most recently, eliminated the TV matrix which provides local television programming. This is creepy and run by fat pigs who have little or no desire to meet the OVERALL needs of WE THE PEOPLE. In other words, if my interest is part of the non-shallow crowd and more intellectual part of society, we are being told to go to hell by the fat pigs at the top of so many corporations today. Even TV Guide does not contain some of the local programming. For instance, try to find WSKG’s Create TV in the lineup.

This is all designed to favor the lowest common denominator and the nerds of technology.

Catering to the lowest common denominator is predominant today and it is crap.

According to merriam-webster.com, lowest common denominator (or least common denominator) is defined as such:

“something of small intellectual content designed to appeal to a lowbrow audience”

Examples (from merriam-webster.com):

Cinemas are currently offering a pretty easy program tailored to the lowest common denominator that simply gets the audience only used to event films. — Alex Ritman, The Hollywood Reporter, 11 Feb. 2022.

Managing to the lowest common denominator, changing compensation, more bureaucracy, and increasing pressure to cross-sell bank products are examples of how big firms are asserting their power over advisors and their businesses. — Mindy Diamond, Forbes, 25 Jan. 2022

When will we have a “village” to change this s**t whi8ch predominates society today? It needs to end. People need to learn to take responsibility for any actions which polarize and divide our society.

Perhaps if people were to apply the intent of Roe v. Wade (making false claims that it goes against the U.S. Constitution), rather than waste our times by fighting it with corrupt practices of Trump and McConnell and others who claim to be Christians, parents and others would take advantage and teach their children to be responsible for their actions. They could explore with their children all the options with cause and effect. Instead, prohibiting something and enforcing this with children does more to NOT teach their children very well. The same thing happened with the prohibition of alcohol about 100 years ago.

Same thing with sex when the English language has only ONE word for love. With the English language, the word, “love,” is applied to romance, sex, brotherly love,  love without strings attached, and other aspects of love. From the example of Greece, the cradle of democracy, comes, numerous different words representative of different aspects of love.  Those words were used in the Gospels (written in Greek) and all translated to English with ONE WORD only: “love.”

Sorry. I cannot help explaining details and going into so much. When the world was not shallow and catering to non-intellectual values, I had more happiness and did not need to write. I don’t use guns, I use the writing of words. Part of the non-intellectual and appeal to the lowest common denominator presents the teaching of violence and guns, whether in the media or in the home. Won’t the lowest common denominator be happy when the intellectual become the lowest common denominator. When these perverted shallow people predominate, they will have their wish. They are happy if they can spend time fighting Roe v. Wade, the teaching of the truth about racist history, and destroying the teaching of sexual identity. Time ends up being spent on such contentions and polarizations than on what we can all do for the overall human race. In this case, we end up with corruption from people like Trump and McConnell and the statement about “power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely” also becomes firm with evil people.

Barbarians and Breeders: To the Men of the New Old Order

A priesthood that preaches the right to life from the moment of conception until the moment you’re born Muslim.

I can’t imagine what it is like to be a woman in the United States of America today. If I feel the blow of Samuel Alito’s draft opinion pm Roe v Wade in the pit of my stomach – and I do – I can only try to imagine how it must feel to have one’s own body assaulted, occupied, and colonized in this way.

Many people are repeating the line used by then-Sen. Kamala Harris in Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearing for the Supreme Court. “Can you think of any laws that give the government the power to make decisions about the male body?” she asked. “I’m not thinking of any right now, Senator,” Kavanaugh replied.

But there is such a law, and it’s worth mentioning. The Selective Service requires all men of a certain age to register for military conscription. The draft hasn’t been used in many years — it affects men, who have more power — but it allows the government to take possession of men’s’ bodies and use them as instruments of war. My generation of men faced a high probability of being drafted and were ordered to submit to the requisite training and be sent off to Vietnam if we were chosen.

That was the old order. Men fought for the state, and when they returned home (if they returned home) they worked for wages to support the economic system. Women bred for the state, then raised the children that they produced. You played your role or you paid the price.

Now, they’re bringing the old order back. They call themselves “pro-life,” even as they clamor for war, for poverty, to deprive people of medical care and a livable involvement. You can’t be pro-life and call down death.

We are once again ruled by a priesthood that preaches the right to life from the moment of conception until the moment you’re born Muslim. Or dark-skinned. Or poor. Or female.

The men who are shrugging off this development better think twice. Unless you’re privileged, they’ll devalue your life too. You can’t be anti-woman and pro-human. Some men will experience the pyrrhic pleasure of mistreating women, but at what cost? Watch out, men. They’ll make a barbarian of you soon. It may sound good to you now, but you’ll be a footsoldier in the mud and not a general in the great tent.

But I apologize. This is me, a man, trying to understand how it feels to be a woman today. But the draft wasn’t the same, was it? Sure, we could die. We, too, could be physically violated and be helpless to prevent it. But the intimacy of women’s subjugation, its linkage to the physical human core … that, I can’t picture. I can only empathize. And support. And fight.

The Greek poet CP Cavafy’s best-known work is “Waiting for the Barbarians,” which describes a nation-state paralyzed into inaction by the anticipation of an invading horde. That, to me, describes the mainstream politicians who have watched the rise in Republican barbarity, their wholesale attack on democratic process and their hijacking of the judiciary, and done nothing about it.

Why isn’t anything happening in the senate?

Why do the senators sit there without legislating?

Because the barbarians are coming today.

What laws can the senators make now?

Once the barbarians are here, they’ll do the legislating.

Lofty sentences about political norms and senatorial decorum are the hollow talk of hollow figures in marble hallways, living statues waiting for the barbarians. They don’t act because they have chosen to become symbols, not living actors in a flesh-and-blood drama. And they don’t act, perhaps, because they can’t believe it’s really happening. Like the protagonist in another Cavafy poem, they paid no attention as walls were built to enclose and entomb them.

With no consideration, no pity, no shame,

they have built walls around me, thick and high …

I had so much to do outside.

The draft system was much easier to escape if you were rich or middle class, if you were white. There were doctors to certify you unfit. If that form of exemption became more difficult, your parents could always send you to Canada. People of color and the poor got the worst of it. They get the worst of it now. They’re far more likely to serve in the military, often because they have no other economic alternatives. There they must contend with danger, senior-level incompetence, suicide epidemics, and the abuse of their addicted comrades.

People of color and the poor will get the worst of this New Old Order, too, as disadvantaged women find themselves unable to afford the interstate travel that bodily autonomy will soon require. That will displease the Big Tech branch of the ruling elite, which has long been concerned with the problem of excess population. As I once wrote of Tyler Cowen, a favored economist of that set:

Cowen promotes his idea of the “hyper-meritocracy” in “Average Is Over.” The brilliant and self-motivated (as he sees them) will become wealthier and more powerful than ever, while the rest of society (which Cowen pegs at 85 percent of the population) becomes a permanent underclass, dwelling in shantytowns and struggling to survive.

With Roe v Wade gone, make that 95 percent. The tech tycoons may moan, but they’ll go along with it in the end. Barbarians use social media, too.

One of the most striking things about the Alito draft is its rage. These judicial moles have watched, and waited, and bided their time, pretending to be sober jurists until their moment came around. Now, the fury is unleashed. Chief Justice Roberts may tone down the language, but the lurking creature has growled deep down in its throat.

When they were building the walls, how could I not have noticed!

But I never heard the builders, not a sound.

Only one in four Americans wants the Court to overturn Roe v Wade. There are nationwide demonstrations against it. They’re doing it anyway.

The Democrats in Washington – somebody – should be demanding that the courts be taken back from the antidemocratic minority. This is the battle we should be fighting. This is the line that should be drawn. Too many of them, however, seem to have another plan in mind. It’s the same one they’ve been following for years, and it goes like this: Why legislate? Once the barbarians are here, they’ll do the legislating.

Night has fallen. The walls have been built. They’re here.

My additional comments. The two presidents who did not get the popular vote, yet had a hand in creating this SCOTUS today, had it been the “men of the new old order,” based on many, many years ago, would have had to stand on the front lines in front of troops in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other areas of the world. Think about that. The leader led the troops into battle at one time. LBJ of Texas, without even being elected president because of being next in line when JFK was murdered, should have been at the front lines of the troops in Vietnam. None of them were.
